Daniella's Cafe and Market

Stopped here for lunch on a whim on our way out of Salem and were so happy we did as their food was outstanding!
We ordered a few sandwiches to take away and each one was super tasty.
We ordered the Italiano, the chicken Parmesan, and the sausage +peppers sandwich.
Their bread is perfection.
The coffee was also delicious.
The woman who served us at the counter was very kind and friendly - she let us know that the wait would be a little longer for one of our sandwiches but truly we didn’t wait long at all and perused all the goods they have in their market.

Wow, what a wonderful meal. Had lunch here, waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. I was all set to order until I looked at the specials board. I ended up with eggplant rollatini. Super thin and crispy eggplant rolled up with Ricotta cheese and spinach in their delicious red sauce. My wife had the Daniella's salad with grilled chicken. Large portions and very fresh. Passed by the Bakery counter on the way out and picked up a couple of delicious fresh made desserts to share.

We have wanted to try Daniella’s for a while and finally did with three friends. Booked via Open Table, arrived 15 minutes early and our table was ready. Our server was friendly, helpful and attentive. The warm, crusty complimentary bread was outstanding served with Parmesan, crushed red pepper olive oil. For entrees, our party ordered: the chicken Marsala special over cavatelli, salmon over risotto (which was a substitute), baked haddock over risotto and a bowl of Italian wedding soup. Everything arrived together, piping hot and delicious. My chicken Marsala melted in my mouth although the Marsala sauce (taste) was different from any I’ve had, can’t quite put my finger on how I could describe the “difference “. Both seafood dishes were perfectly cooked. For dessert, we all shared the tiramisu which hit the spot. We would all definitely return and this was a great stop before our show at the No Shore Music Theatre.

Love the food here. Super tasty always. Service is definitely a lot slower here than at their restaurant but as long as you’re not in a rush the food is great

We discovered this place accidentally and we love our lunch time there today. We entered into the store after 1pm and continuously saw people came for lunch after then, even at the moment we were about to leave.
The warm bread was amazing and it was served with the dipping oil, a concoction of oil, cheese and red pepper flakes. We ordered two pasta which we both love them. We ordered two pastas which we both love them. I ordered shrimp scampi. The grilled shrimp smelled really good but it’s not just the smells of the grilled shrimps. The herbs and tomato source matched each other perfectly in the source. The other one is spaghetti &meatballs. It was also very good. I loved the source which was completely different from mine. The desserts were also very very good. Their tiramisu definitely is something you cannot miss.

Welcoming decor with very nice terrace seating. Full of details. We had a table by the window that overlooked the covered terrace. Fantastic service and food. The house Cabernet Sauvignon was delicious. We had arancini (rice balls), meatballs, mushroom risotto plus the main courses. Very authentic Italian cuisine with very fresh ingredients. Definitely saved to my favorites for when I return to the area.

This is plus favorite restaurant by far. We stumbled upon Daniella’s one afternoon, ordered the steak tenderloin over white mushroom truffle risotto and have never looked back. The steak is always cooked beautifully, the risotto is very tasty and the service is always exceptional. Great place with amazing atmosphere and ambiance. Will always recommend Daniella’s as it is the best restaurant around!

Great food. Pan seared salmon, shrimp and the winter salad was awesome.

Can be a bit loud at time but the food and service is always excellent.
Last night for Mother's Day, they had a dessert on the menu, with all proceeds going towards breast cancer research. We ordered one for the table. We order six to go. While disappointed they only had three left, I was happy so many others felt this was a worthy enough cause to do the same. Bravo Daniells's Cafe!!

Absolutely EVERYTHING was phenomenal…. The soup and chicken parm sandwich were amongst the best I have ever had. Service was great, pricing reasonable and just a great meal. Will be back!

Food was excellent and the service was great. The bread served before the meal was probably the best so far in many Italian restaurants I went. Don’t forget to leave some room for desserts!

I've been to Daniella's multiple times and the food is always on point! Their Sunday sauce is to die for. The most recent time I visited I ordered their special, which was seabass and I couldn't have made a better choice. It was delicious. Love the cute little market with the to go desserts and sauces. It is hard to leave without buying a few delicious treats! My only complaint is the seating was so close neither of us could really move at our tiny table. This is a must try spot! Definitely a hidden gem.

Updated some recent menus, their food is super delicious! We had a late afternoon lunch outside(actually dinner)m), surrounded by rhododendron, peaceful and romantic atmosphere, server is so friendly and food served fast. Place is clean and well social distanced. I loved their coffee, feels very original and special.

This place was so very delicious! It was our first time here and we based our decision on the reviews and it did not disappoint.

Their eggplant parmesan was the best we've ever had. Thin, perfectly breaded so that it remained crispy with the sauce on top and throughout our meal.

The eggplant rollatini was scrumptious. It was a special appetizer, but I had it as my main and it was more than I could finish.

Our server, Dee, was warm, friendly and just the perfect amount of attentiveness.

Highly recommend for wonderful Italian food

This is a great little Italian place and I was able to eat on the patio. Although it was tough to tell it was a patio. Great for lunch. Highly recommend it.

Incredible! Amazing! Huge potions of great food! So many choices and daily specials! I could and might go into a food coma from the wonderful desserts. The picture of the Coconut Almond Cake does not do it justice, we shared it and still could not finish it! The whole staff is friendly and just perfect! My wife went her favorite Chicken Parm, 2 good size pieces cooked crispy without being overdone or dry. MARINARA is sweet and flavorful. I tried the special Sausage Orecchiette with Broc Rab. Wow, also could not finish it, my wife had to stop me it was so good! I was undecided because the other choice was the Eggplant special with the house Italian whipped ricotta, so the waiter brought me a side of the whipped ricotta which to me made my dish over the top and round the world! We will be back!

Lunch ORECCHIETTE (19) from @daniellascafe. "sausage, broccoli rabe, white bean". I figured that I leave the bolognese for another visit. The food was piping hot with plenty of a lovely and well-seasoned sauce. I quickly mixed the toasted breadcrumbs with the sauce, thickening it up slightly. The Italian sausage was really well seasoned, and the pasta was cooked correctly. This was a delightful lunch with enough leftovers for dinner.

RIGATONI BOLOGNESE (20) from @daniellascafe. "a true classic made with beef and pork". They have created an excellent rendition of this classic dish. The sauce was thick, meaty, not overly sweet, and the pasta was cooked al dente. The rigatoni was perfect for this dish. An excellent lunch.

Oh my goodness! Yes, is the answer to if you should try Daniellas or not. This meal was phenomenal. Start to finish. Don’t walk, don’t run, drive fast and go now. We started with blood orange cosmopolitans they were strong and delightful, arancini with Bolognese and Danielle’s Salad as appetizers, best arancini and Bolognese I’ve ever had. Salad had pistachios and Gorgonzola and a nice balance of tangy vinaigrette. Dinner was chicken broc ziti in a pink sauce , not my usual goto but it was amazing, chicken was delicious, also had tenderloin with risotto and haddock and risotto,, unbelievably tasty. They also have to go martinis, pineapple and vodka or espresso martinis, each mason jar serves 4. Five out of five for me!!!

Great apps!! Service was very slow, always had to ask for our waitress from another one passing by our table.
But other than that everything was great.
Just be prepared to stay there for the evening.
Not getting in an out quick!!

Absolutely delicious! I wanted to take everything home from the market, especially the to go mason jars of espresso martinis! Deserts looked amazing, we tried the cannoli and loved it!
