Yella on the Water

We had such a great time! Our waitress Marissa was amazing and made such good recommendations. She made our time at the restaurant so much better. The food was delicious too, the falafel was so flavorful!!

They had many gluten-free, dairy free and vegetarian options as well, which was fantastic!

We made a reservation online and assumed it was a typical seafood restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised! The menu is Greek/Mediterranean. We had mussels for an appetizer and bouliabassie and shrimp scampi for entrées. All were OUTSTANDING! To top it off for dessert we had a strawberry shortcake. Also amazing. If you are looking for something that is NOT typical, please stop for an amazing dining experience!

Very pleasant atmosphere and great views!! Located directly across from the beach it's a go to for anyone in the Gloucester area! The meals came out fast, service was lovely, and the quality of our meals spoke for themselves. Would recommend the shakshuka and gumbo, but really can't got wrong with any option. Will visit again when in the area!

This is a fantastic place. My wife and I have had multiple meals here and they are consistently great. The cocktails and wine list are innovative and the food is great. The Provençal wings are not to be missed. Had the salmon special this go around and it was very good.

Took my longest Uber ride recently and the driver was from Beirut. We were talking about Lebanese food. He said some friends of his had a wonderful Lebanese restaurant in Andover. When I looked it up, I realized they had opened another restaurant Yella on the water in Gloucester near me. Today, we went and true it. Very nice place. Food was delicious and very authentic. My wife had fab salad with homemade felafel! I had the grilled fish. Lots of Zaatar and garlic! So good! Nice outdoor patio across the street from the Boulevard! Service was super friendly! Definitely recommend!

Fantastic place to enjoy an incredible meal. Best wings ever. Lemon, garlic, olive oil,tomatoes, Provençal herbs atop super crispy, fat chicken wings!

Great food experience - took shrimp scampi and nice wine selection. Wonderful service. Enjoyed it very much. It is the end of the season - they will reopen on the 1st of April.

First time here. CAREY WAS THE SWEETEST WAITRESS! We came on an overwhelmed night, being labor day weekend. VERY busy Wait! Wait time-between drinks and entree ....was a few hours., the food was great. MUSSELS, PROSCIUTO ARUGULA PIZZA ETC. WAS GREATTTT. THE DRINKS ON POINT.... strong. Lovely place with great outdoor view & parkinglot. But you must get the "strawberry shortcake" desert. Even though it shares parkinglot with ice cream place. 👌👍

Great outdoor dining experience with friendly service. Salad was underwhelming however, it was basically spring mix, chickpeas, feta, and falafel that you can pick up at the grocery store and mix it all together.

Fantastic! We had the Toscano pita flatbread to start and it was wonderfully thin and crispy - the perfect light bite to share. Standouts were the Mediterranean Quinoa Salad, Lamb Tacos, and the House Burger. The only dish that didn't quite rise to the level of the others was the Fisherman's Catch Tacos - they were just a little too dry for me.

The drink menu had a nice selection of creative craft cocktails to choose from. The one I got (gah! I can't remember the name! It had rye, sage and lemon) was completely amazing! I had to stop at two, but I could have sat on that patio drinking those all day.

Special shout out to our server, who was super sweet and helpful. She made great suggestions on which plates we might like best and even helped us figure out which restaurant we should go to for supper later - and her recommendation turned out to be stellar!

Amazing Lamb tacos after an exceptional barrata appetizer. So glad this place opened back up. Also the Flatbreads are really good too. The staff is outstanding. Deck seating is great, looking over the boulevard and harbor.
I will always recommend this place. Last, drinks are always tasty and fun.

Last time we were here they mixed up our check and without hesitation gave us a gift certificate to come back so they could serve us again.

We really loved our dinner at Yella. View was beautiful. The server was understanding w our young kids and brought out their food asap. The hummus/beef appetizer was great. My husband and I ordered pasta dishes. Everything was fantastic. And the vanilla dessert was an excellent surprise. Our best meal so far on the north shore and this has been our 6th visit to the area. Definitely plan on returning. Thank you!!

My mother is from Syria so I normally won't have any sort of Arabic food out because it's never as good as my mom's... But I tried the hummus awarma and was so impressed. It taste like something she would make. I only wish there were more Arabic options on the menu but I love that everything has a Mediterranean twist. It's been a while since I've been this excited after trying a new restaurant. The service could use a little polishing but the decor, vibe, and views from the patio more than make up for it. Highly recommend!

As a South Shore native and resident, I discovered this true gem whilst exploring Glouster for the first tie ever with my fiancé this past weekend! Everything was amazing, from the beautiful decor, relaxing vibe, incredible food, and friendly service! Our bartender Howard was extremely welcoming and highly-knowledgable of grape varietals and spirits, and our meal was perfection. Will definitely make the drive up to go back to Yella soon!

Amazing restaurant! The food is tasty and well spiced and the service is friendly and accommodating. During my trip to Gloucester, this was definitely the best restaurant I dined at.

Got to this place by mistake. Was early dinner and we got sat right away on patio. Staff is friendly and food was delicious.

Great experience!! Sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful full moon. Everything from the service, cleanliness, atmosphere and the Food!!! That chef is talented!! There was so much going on in the flavors and it was so subtle yet well done... Bravo!!!!

Excellent. Our family had a combination of mussels, catch of the day tacos, salad, and two different types of pasta. And wine.

All was amazing. The atmosphere was very cozy, yet stylish, the view (we went at night, but..) is amazing, the staff was lovely.

I would recommend anyone in the area make their way here. They will not disappoint.
