I am so grateful to God for this congregation that shows so much respect and honor for our Lutheran Confessions. Grace Lutheran Church is truly a blessing to our community. Pastor DiLiberto leads a wonderful Divine Service each Sunday sharing the word of Jesus Christ in the beautiful liturgy found in the LCMS. The congregation was warm and welcoming when we joined the church.

Week after week the Lord is present and active at Grace. The Word of God is proclaimed here, in its truth and purity. I feel safe in the Body of Christ, knowing how much I have failed, and knowing how much more, Christ has succeeded and wraps His children in the wondrous security of His grace. Bible studies are deep and rich. Sermons are meaningful. The congregation, blessed by God, is kind and welcoming.

We've been members of Grace since 2001. We love the church, the atmosphere and the people. The true Gospel, with the rich liturgy, has deepened my understanding of God's love and plan of salvation. If you are looking for in depth understanding of the Bible, come to Grace.

This church is so warm and welcoming! The pastor has meaningful sermons that are based on the Holy Bible. This church has two traditional services, Sunday school for children and adult Bible study.

About 10 years ago, we were hoping for a Lutheran Church Missouri Synod closer to our side of town that we would like. We got that and more! We love the congregation and the Pastor. I feel more comfortable with a traditional form of worship and that's what they have. A Blessed' experience all around.

Great Bible based church in Henderson

We moved to Sun City Anthem and are looking for a new church home. We most recently were members of the Episcopal Cathedral of St. John in Albuquerque, NM. Our experience over many years has been that Episcopal and Lutheran services are quite similar and we’ve been told by clergy that we are part of the same communion that includes those who follow the Catholic tradition.

Today we planned to attend Grace Lutheran for the first time. Almost immediate upon entering the door we were greeted by someone named Dave who welcomed us as newcomers. After exchanging a few pleasantries, he explained that before taking communion we would need to speak with either the pastor who was visiting today or with the pastor who is on vacation in order to get approval. When we explained that our belief in the presence of Christ in the elements was exactly the same as his, and we guess, that of the congregation, he remained firm that we should first get clearance before coming to the altar.

My wife and I exchanged glances and silently agreed that this was not the church for us. And we left. We’ve been married and attending church together for over 46 years and this is the first time we have walked out of a church without getting any further than the front door. We have never felt so unwelcome as we felt this morning. Mind you, we respect the right of any religious organization to hold and enforce reasonable beliefs, but we can’t fathom a Christian congregation, or a representative of a congregation who effectively precludes a visitor from enjoying the full presence of Christ in the liturgy.

This was so disappointing because the words on the webpage don’t come close to matching the greeting we experienced today. Needless to say, we won’t be back.
