Long Beach Dairy Maid

My husband picked up a hot fudge sundae for us after we came in late to our hotel in Gloucester. It was delicious!! We were staying at Cape Ann Motor Inn and ate it on the balcony watching the waves in the moonlight. It was the perfect dessert I could have asked for that night. Exactly what you'd expect, hot fudge and vanilla ice cream, but the flavors were really good.

The go to place for ice cream oh the North Shore. Wide selection of flavors of hard and soft ice cream at great prices! Tried their lobster roll today - delicious and lots of lobster meat. Special price of $14.95 on Tuesdays can't be beat. Regular price $25.

Picture as many ice cream flavors, toppings, and treats you can think of, then double it because that is what Long Beach Dairy Maid provides and exceeds. Have been coming here on our yearly family trips since I was a kid. Always friendly staff and best Ice cream in town- especially if you like soft serve!

Extremely delicious lobster rolls! Had a lot more meat than I expected, the roll was even delicious. Come on Lobster Roll Tuesday it's a steal! We also had a slice of pizza- the sauce was on the sweeter side but it was exactly what we wanted. We will definitely come back and will recommend! We did have to get an ice cream as well- there are a lot of yummy flavors.

A few blocks from the beach this little hut offers some good ice cream. The hot fudge sundae was great.

Lots and lots of flavors, hard ice cream, soft ice cream, yogurt, sherbert...... low fat, non dairy, you name it. And, the "kiddie cone" is too much for me. And, the location is great, close to the beach. Adirondack chairs to sit in and enjoy your ice cream. I dropped my wallet there, and they couldn't have been nicer!

Nice spot to hang with friends. And the ice cream is 10/10. Nice staff, Nice Corner shop, I had a great time. Also there is a Pizzria right next door too

So many flavor choices it is amazing. Portions are huge and help is always friendly. Been coming for years. Always enjoy.

We had a blueberry pie milkshake and a banana/vanilla swirl soft serve in a waffle cone. Both were very good. One of the workers suggested the "kiddie" size which was plenty big. I'm glad we don't live near here because I would be coming here every day! So many flavors and ice cream types, everyone will be happy!

There was a line because it was sunny and everyone wanted ice cream. There are 100s of options. Had a flurry. You get soft serve and three add-ins. Two sizes. The small was plenty.

Just what was needed on a rippin'hot day! It's ice cream, folks... Soft serve with flavor dips and hard packed ice cream too. Good stuff!

Limited parking in the front on a busy day when we were there. Lines were short and worker's very courteous. Had the Dole pineapple whip which was fabulous if you like pineapple. First time there but will be our favorite place now because of the pineapple 🍍 selection.

I was told about this place by locals, and explained how great it is. They were not lying. It's along the way to the beach so it is perfect to stop and get some comfortable food. I got a small, which is the size of a pint, so you got your money's worth. The ice cream was delicious. I'm definitely going back and trying out some different flavors. While waiting in line I could smell the pizza oven and was tempted to order a pizza on the go as it was so inviting. They hire great servers and it was such a nice atmosphere of the comings and goings of locals and visitors alike. Definitely worth your time to stop by and get some ice cream.

Great ice cream in a great location! Nothing beats ice cream after a day at the beach, and both Long Beach AND Good Harbor are a quick walk over to this tasty location. Massive portions for acceptable prices. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area on a warm day!

They really give you a bang for your buck. They serving sizes are huge. I get a “kiddie” size every time and it’s always more than enough. I don’t think I’ve ever ordered anything bigger than that. Great flavors available too. Line can move slow sometimes but I’m always on vacation so I have no where better to be so I don’t mind.

Great icecream shop with so many flavors to choose from. Even for soft serve icecream!
The location was ideal. Just minutes away from Good Harbor Beach, going NE on Thatcher rd. The kids loved it!

The only thing that I can say is that you definitely DON'T get what you pay for.

These guys PILE ON the ice cream ice cream waaaaay more than you would ever expect. They definitely exchange with you in massive abundance! Great selection of flavors! Fun location! Just an amazing spot off the beach up that way. Maybe a little busy during peak times, but hey - I wonder why? Because it's worth it! Don't skip out on this place if you're up that way. Make it your "go to" way stop.
