Wow! I am very impressed with the quality of the baking. They have upped their game since first opened. They are at the level of French bakery. My favorite place in Western Mass! The almond croissant and the pistachio chocolate croissant are to die for!

If you are looking for the best baked goods in the area, look no further! Rise Above delivers on exceptional flavors, presentation, and quality. We got the Almond Croissant and a heavenly marzipan stuffed treat which were both so good they were gone before we drove away. 10/10. The time and effort they put in to providing top notch baked goods is so appreciated, thank you!

What a little gem of a bakery in the town of Greenfield. I bought an assortment of baked goods for my coworkers and they were not disappointed. The chocolate croissants, almond croissants, cookies, and other baked goods were delicious! The service was friendly and I will go back during my time here.

I'm in western MA for the weekend and went looking for a bakery. I happened upon Rise Above. I was looking for a cake, which they don't do. But while I was in there I decided to get a few other things. And honestly, if you are THIS good at bread, don't waste time on cake. These bagels are otherworldly. They are so soft that I couldnt even bring myself to toast them. I didn't personally try the chocolate croissant, but my husband has said, "oh! Wow!" three times now. Some of the reviews mentioned that they staff were short tempered. That was not my experience. They were busy! Like, line out the door at 10am and it clearly had not stopped all morning. They were quick, they didn't stop to make small talk, the weren't amusement park friendly, but they were not anywhere close to rude. They were busy and they moved through a line of 10 people in under 5 minutes. Have you ever seen the Seinfeld soup episode? Yeah, even if they had been nasty (which they were not) the bread would still have been worth it. I don't know when I'll be back out this way again, but if I ever get the chance to, I will be stopping at Rise Above. Well done, folks.

I tried to find a way to add 100 extra stars to this review. Five stars are just not enough. Rise Above bakery is my favorite bakery! (With kudos to my dad who was also a serious baker and every weekend and woke us up with delicious smells of everything he'd been baking). I appreciate all of the local ingredients and farms that this bakery uses and supports. Rise Above has such a diverse range of deliciousness! Everything is beautiful,, yummy, and fun to share. And there's always something that lights up the kids! Apologies, I had to taste before posting :)

I love, Love, LOVE this bakery!! What a great addition to our town. Their items are amazing, too. Online ordering and curbside pickup, they have adapted well the last hectic year. Kudos to all that make this GEM pull off wonderful food.

My favorite place to get breakfast in Greenfield! Super fresh, fast and delicious and somehow also a really good deal. I go here pretty much at least once a week and I always look forward to it.

As someone who starts work earlier in the morning I’m also really REALLY grateful that they open at 7. It’s super helpful for those days that I just can’t get myself to make my own breakfast and it’s so nice to start the day with strong coffee and a little treat!

I stopped in to grab a coffee and to see what they had for baked goods. And wow! Hands down the best ham and cheese croissant I've ever had. And I've owned and run bakeries with our own croissant bakers and I've eaten croissant in France - and still, this was the best Ham and Cheese croissant I've ever had. And I love that they have a warming display for the goods that should be served warm, like the croissant. And I loved the dark roast coffee they served me. Well done!

Really fabulous bakery - great European pastries and wonderful sourdough made with locally-sourced ingredients. The savory croissants are awesome, and they’ve also recently started doing stuffed baguettes which make for a great lunch. Go early - things do run out!

I got plain butter and a pistachio chocolate croissant. I have been lucky to eat croissants all over the world and I gotta say , Rise Above has some great croissants!
The prices are great, the staff was friendly and the interior was warm and welcoming. Il be back !

Delicious pastries and bread, I’ve been here several times and had zero disappointments. The earlier you arrive the better the selection!

This is the best bakery in the northeast - and possibly further! We love breads and make a point of trying out great bakeries all over the US, Canada, and Europe, and this bakery stands out! If you live in Greenfield, consider yourself blessed with such a gem; if you live outside - why not make the trip here? 😀

On a whim we stopped by before having to pick up the kiddo from school. Am a chocolatier/chef recently moved here from Vegas and Belgium and was in search of a high quality bakery. Am so happy we made the short trip there!! My search is finally over. Love this spot. Cheers!

Phanominal coffee, decaf has an air of maple to it? It was wonderful. The pastries were beautiful. Staff was super welcoming. Great place to walk to while you wait for your car at McGovern's.

INCREDIBLE bakery! The only reason we made it through the pandemic. I love everything they make--we pick up a bread to go with dinner, croissants for breakfast, cookies or tarts (the frangipane tarts are magnificent!) for a treat. They also have coffee & tea: a one-stop for all your deliciousness needs.

This place is adorable! The service is always super friendly. While we've yet to get anything here that wasn't absolutely to die for, our family's favorites include the chocolate chunk cookies, chocolate rye cookies, pretzel bagels, and the croissants. What's great about this place is they've got such a good mix of staples and rotating novelties (one time, they had this amazing lemon tart with berries thing) while maintaining a high standard for all of their goodies.

Our In-laws just brought us 4 Vegetable Knishs all the way from Greenfield to Northern NJ. Growing up outside of NYC we had access to an assortment of these but I have to say they were unique, tasty and so delicious. Now, how can you figure out how to ship more of these to us?

Amazing baked goods and bread!! The owner is fantastic. Wonderful service and atmosphere. They do not disappoint. Beautiful and tasty. I don't know how anyone could give this bakery less than 5 stars!
