Mary French Reservation

Beautiful trail with a board walk along the marsh. No parking lot but there is street parking near some homes. Despite the board walk, it isn't stroller friendly the whole trail because it gets too narrow and parts of it too rocky and muddy. The trail connects at Skug River Reservation, where there are some parking spaces.

Super fun series of boardwalks and small trails. Feels like you’re walking on water. Floods easily and looks like it’s mosquito heaven. Would not walk in the summer.

My favorite place to hike in Andover! The boardwalk through the wetland is just amazing with so many possibilities for watching some wildlife.

I had to review this because--wow, how do people give nature 1 star? This is a nice little trail. Much of it is a rudimentary elevated boardwalk over a marsh. It's kind of treacherous--I wouldn't bike it or even take a group of small children, but if you fall you aren't likely to get seriously injured--only seriously muddy and wet! In exchange for that risk, you get an easy-to-access trail head and a deep-in-the-weeds marshland experience.

This trail connects over the Skug River Reservation, so you can park either place. The access is better on Korinthian Way.

What a lovely spot. Geese, Red Winged Blackbirds, frogs...so peaceful. Thank you French's for the hard work and dedication to make this hiking trail.

This is a wonderfull boardwalk trail with great nature views and connects to Skug river trail accross Salem St on the other side. I walk it regularly but recently (10/2/2021) the beaver dam damage has made it very difficult to pass. Hope it can be maintained but it doesn't look good for it's future?
