It is hard to know who you can trust when you don’t know much about cars and after a couple of not-so-great experiences with local mechanics, Kenney Auto Repair was recommended to us by several people, so we made appointments for our three vehicles: a (new to us) 2006 Miata, a Subaru Forester and a VW Jetta. The Miata had an annoying front end clunking noise that two people were previously unable to find the source of and (hallelujah!) it’s finally gone! It also needed A/C work and instead of just replacing entire (expensive) components, Gerry took the time to properly diagnose the issue and restored that cool breeze for a fraction of the cost we anticipated. We were also told by someone else that the Forester needed a new exhaust, but to our surprise we learned that this costly repair was not necessary at this point. More money saved! The Jetta got some fresh oil and was good to go.
Drop off and pick up are a breeze, communication is great, prices are fair, and Joyce is a pleasure to talk to.

My Father is a retired auto mechanic since the late 60s. He held the top ASE rating the entire time. Having someone with this degree of expertise raises the bar of expectation quite high. When he retired both he and I needed to find a suitable replacement for any need that might arise.
Kenny Auto Repair may not have the experience my Father possesses but they make up for that with solid very capable knowledge, outstanding customer service, reasonably accurate estimates and sensible billing.

Very knowledgeable and great service! I have a high mileage 2008 Porsche Cayenne. For 100,000 miles, the “check engine” light has been lit, preventing me from getting an inspection sticker. I took the car to the Porsche dealership several times, but despite some expensive failed repairs they were unable to find and fix the problem. On my brothers-in-law’s recommendation, I took the car to Gerry at KAR. Gerry quickly diagnosed the problem from three confusing error codes and by listening to the engine, then made the repairs in one day for a very reasonable charge. The “check engine” light is off, my new inspection sticker is on, and I’m a happy customer!

Very homey and welcoming place. I went to get my oil changed and it was very quick and low cost. The owner is very polite and this forever will be my repair shop of choice. Fully recommend 👌

I have known Gerry for several years. From my first experience he more than impressed me with his approach as a business man and a mechanic. I had a recent experience with another shop that left me with a vehicle that was not correctly repaired. I called Gerry to get another set of eyes on the problem and he went beyond my expectations in diagnosing the underlying problem and correcting what needed to be done. I would recommend him without a doubt. I have an Airframe and Powerplant licence and worked as an aircraft mechanic for six years in the Air Force. I also have over 7000 hours of flight time in C-130's and C5 Galaxy's. I was also raised on a dairy farm and learned mechanics at a young age. In short, I know a good mechanic when I see one. Gerry is a great one.

Right to the head of the line with Gerry. And there must be quite a line forming if this level of service is extended to others calling him out of the blue. That's what I did. Four hours later a new heater, blower, and fuse and we were ready to go!
