Ross Haven Farm

My beloved yearling filly Merry suffered a severe knee laceration and spent just shy of 4 weeks at Ross Haven Farm after being under Dr. Kirker-Head's care at Tufts, having spent 10 days there following surgery for the injury. Our experience was exceptional from start to finish. They are competent and communicative, and the peace of mind I had the near-month she was there is truly beyond value. I've sent updates to Dr. Kirker-Head since Merry has come home and he has continued to guide us in the right direction as her recovery resumes. Cannot recommend Ross Haven Farm enough to anyone looking for a safe, beautiful place for their horse to heal surrounded by a qualified team.

I have been a horse owner for 30 plus years but this was the first time I was involved with a rehab facility for my horse. The care Van Adel received at Ross Haven was exceptional. I knew the moment I met Mona that he would be well cared for. I felt totally confident leaving him in their care. When Van Adel needed to return to Tufts it was completed with the utmost attention to my horse's well being. Their around the clock professional, medical, and loving care led to Van Adel's complete recovery. Any treats I left for Van Adel they made sure to give him after his daily medical treatment. Ross Haven Farm has cared for my horses for over a decade. Whether it's working with lameness and rehab issues, foaling, or caring for my senior horses, they always do a wonderful job. The Kirker-Heads are kind and extremely knowledgeable. They love my horses as much as I do and I rest easy knowing that they are getting the best care every day. The facility is very peaceful and low stress for the horses and they really thrive there, especially while healing from medical issues. They receive top of the line veterinary care from Carl and other associates from Tufts Veterinary. I can't recommend this farm enough!

We had a wonderful experience with Ross Haven Farm when our donkey Paisley was injured a few years ago. We knew as soon as we arrived that she would be handled with the utmost care. Friendly, competent staff, a beautiful facility, and excellent communication from caregivers about her condition allowed us to drive away without a worry. She was under their care for 5 months. Visitation was flexible and seamless. She required several procedures over that period, was transported safely and cared for perfectly as she recovered from a fractured pastern. She had a great outcome as a result of her care and we couldn't be more pleased and grateful for the care she received there. The overall value for the care rendered was exceptional as well. We would give this facility five stars and highly recommend!"

Blue Chip sent two mares to foaled out at Ross Haven Farms in 2021 to obtain MASS Eligibility on their foals. The owners were terrific to work with and kept us well informed of the mares (and foals) progress from day one. They are experieced and highly qualified equine professionals. Our mares and foals came back home in great condition.
