As a newer resident to Belchertown I've found this is a great resource for disposing of yard debris, large items, recycling motor oil, etc. The manager (not sure if its the same person mentioned above in the one star comment) has been professional and extremely helpful each time we've needed to use the facility. He and this facility are doing a great public service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this location.

The transfer station "manager" is completely out of line, making up his own rules that don't make any sense and definitely do not benefit the town community. He is also very rude and ignorant, to the detriment of customers. I can understand why so many Belchertown residents refuse to use transfer station services due to this incompetent individual.

Limited and inconsistent hours.
