Loved my experience with this salon! I called ahead of time asking for a last minute appointment for just a cut, and they were very kind to accept me for a visit. I told the stylist my major concern with my hair and instead of just a haircut, I came out with a whole new refreshed look. Peter put me on with the digital perm and I absolutely loved the results! The staff was also very kind and welcoming, thank you again so much to everyone there for making the experience a wonderful one! it's so hard to find a salon that you want to just stick with, and I am definitely coming back here! <3

Very skilled. Absolutely loved the entire experience (~4 hours for bleach, dye, and cut). Yeong Mi (Michelle) was incredibly talented at her craft and knows exactly what she is doing! A bit higher end in price but you get what you pay for which is high quality results with very little hair damage. Definitely coming back soon.

Staffs are really nice and welcoming. My son and I go to Tim for cuttings and others. He is very professional. I recommend this place to everyone.

Excellent experience. I’ve been looking for a good Korean place to style my hair and I’ve finally found it with Kakaboka.

I made an appointment same day and was able to come in within an hour. No wait time (I went on a weekday and not on a weekend). Staff was really friendly.

I think the only thing I could say is that during the shampooing, I would have preferred some more hair massage. But other than that, my whole experience was awesome. Highly recommended!

Good service by Hoon. Space is big so I felt safe being far away from other customers.

There are comments that they won’t treat you well if you’re not Korean. I never experienced that. It was very professional.

Great hair salon in Flushing! I used to go hair salon in Manhattan but I never felt satisfied after my hair got done. My friend introduced Michelle at this hair salon, and since then, I am stuck at this place for the last 3 yrs! She is so good with hairstyling and very pleasant to talk to! Clean and nice atmosphere and warm staff members!

Finding a good hair place can be tough! I travel an hour to get my hair done at Kakaboka because I really like this place. I used to try to pay as little as possible for a haircut but then I realized that you get what you pay for. My hair definitely looks a ton better. The haircut (and style you choose) make a huge difference!

Don't understand why this place has such low reviews. Been here for several years, they raise the prices once in few years, but I believe it's worth it. Love the staff because they know you once you visit a few times and they know exactly how I want my hair done.
Only thing I recommend is that you should call before the weekend comes because they're pretty full on weekends. Also, know that their prices are not completely definite, it depends on who you get your hair done by (owner/others) and the length.

I go to Ryumi for my color and cut and she does a wonderful job every time. I get compliments on my hair regularly. It's a bit pricey but so worth it. They have tea and coffee (iced/hot) too!

I love coming here so much that after I moved to upstate I still make the drive up twice a year for hair cut and styling . Their technique is unmatched anywhere and a great price(compare to other salons near by, its cheap price) I've had several stylists work on my hair and have never been dissapointed. Always a great job and fantastic

High quality, consistent service every time. No matter who is cutting our hair, every stylist has been extremely detailed oriented and attentive. Even our kids notice the difference. We love getting our haircuts here.

I have been going to this place for 3 years, cannot find a single reason to change it. Lovely interior, kind staff, and great service make it the best hair salon in Flushing!! I always go to Rumi and she's always great!
If it's your first time trying this place you should definitely ask for her!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff! Chopped off A LOT of hair and got a new hair color by Jisun and she was fantastic. She is very sweet and walked me through the whole process. Definitly recommend!

I've been getting my hair cut by Julie for over 10 years. The staff is friendly, professional, and always accommodating while my haircuts always come out great. I don't trust my haircuts to anyone else!

I really like this hair salon...I am a korean adoptee ...so for a long time I only went to American hair salons...then I found some Japanese hair salons in my town....a few years ago I found this korean hair salon and I only go here now ~ I am very comfortable and they always try their best to give me the style I want. I particularly like Hwanee and Rumie. One time - someone new cut my hair and I didn’t like it - so the owner took my complaint seriously , and even though she was busy ...she fixed it for me for free. I will continue to come here for my hair . Loyal kakaboka customer !

Rumie did a wonderful job styling and cutting my hair. She’s very detail oriented and gentle with layering. The cost is $40 including hair wash. It’s worth it.

Amazing service cyt was fast and felt so nice. Not like some whose hands are just like yanking your sling off ugh
But no she has the most gentlest tough I had to wake up quite alot during the process lol. I love this place and I just walked in they took us right away had us robbed under 5 mins I swear but nothing felt rushed at all. Come here you wont regret it
