Wow, I read some of these reviews and felt it necessary to provide my perspective.
While I have also noticed a staff shortage, and resulting office issues, I have had EXCELLENT surgery outcomes, totaling FOUR with Dr. Wood.

Each surgery was extremely well explained by Dr. Wood, moreso than the any other provider.

I am now planning another surgery with Dr. Wood because of his excellent outcomes with me. Plus, I am losing faith in DIFFERENT provider - that provider ALSO has staff/office issues (as side note) but is not the honest human being that Dr. Wood has shown himself to be.

Yes, it seems EVERYONE is dealing with office staff shortages and the problems that have resulted. But, for me Dr. Wood's surgical skills are my real focus given the dental trouble I have now given my lack of knowledge of the differences between oral surgeon's significant training in bone health and that of other dental providers. Plus, Dr. Wood has more tools available to him than most to assure a good outcome.

Everyone was exceptional! Not sure why some reviews are negative. I paid my fees which of course are estimates . Honestly there is no way for an office to know day of surgery if you have pending insurance claims prior to arrival. When my explanation of benefits arrived it was clear I was due a small refund and it was refunded. Tiffinie was cordial when speaking about the refund and assured me it was on its way. Dr. Wood and assistants are professional and thorough.

I have a super fear of needles and I communicated that to the bridgeport team. Today I had 5 extractions done with no anxiety what so ever. Would highly recommend. Thanks to everybody at bridgeport. 👍

I came to see Dr. Wood for an extraction and I was nervous, but once I got the chance to speak with Dr. Wood he explained everything and I decided to move forward. His staff was incredible and made sure to be emotional support during the whole process. I will be coming back if I ever need work done again. Thank you Dr. Wood and staff!

I called on Wednesday, I needed a tooth extracted. The tooth was pulled on Friday.
Dr Wood and his staff are awesome, friendly, helpful, caring.

When I consulted Dr. Wood in my late teens to have my severely impacted wisdom teeth removed, I was worried about lasting impact to the nerves in my jaw--one tooth's root was touching a major one. Dr. Wood assured me that I would be fine; he had extracted countless teeth like mine despite it being fairly uncommon.

He was right, and after a brief time under general anesthesia (another thing I was worried about, I'm quite light for my height) I was awake, wisdom-tooth free and had the at-risk nerve fully intact.

Throughout the initial months of recovery, I visited his office a couple times for brief checkups, both of which were entirely free and didn't require appointments. A year later, I'm entirely healed and couldn't be happier that I went to Dr. Wood--I'd recommend him to anyone.

As a healthcare provider, I understand the importance of being informed and ensuring the care process is ethical and transparent, and I received all this with Dr. Wood. He went above and beyond, sharing the latest research and the pros and cons of alternative procedures in our consultation without making us feel rushed. The process went off without any complications!

Like all businesses, Covid curtailed normal functions. The front desk is lightly staffed; however, all insurance papers were processed and executed without delay. In addition, the surgical team is highly skilled, efficient, and fully staffed.

We will be back!

The staff is very kind and attentive. Dr. Woods explains things very thoroughly (which helped me feel more comfortable) & listens.

I am very impressed. I'm 70 and this is the second molar I've had to have pulled. Maybe the first one was complicated by failed root canal. They gave me a "work in" appointment the next day from my referral. The doctor and the staff were quick and efficient and friendly. I had minimal discomfort afterward, which is major contrast to first extraction I had from a different clinic.. A big THANK YOU!!!!

Excellent customer service team very friendly and efficient I had a problem with my sinus cavity for 3 months and in 1 appointment I had a plan to have it fixed Dr. Wood has a great bedside manner and made me feel like he actually cared about me.

They saw me on an emergency appointment and I could not be happier. Dr.Wood and his staff are great. Not that you ever want to see an oral surgeon but if you need to. They are the place to go. Highly recommended.

Dr. Wood removed my wisdom teeth with an expertise beyond my, or my friends' and family's expectations. Very little swelling and pain during recovery.

The office charged me, but my insurance later covered the consultation.
I contacted Tiiffany for a refund, who agreed, but nothing happened for another month. This was 7 months after the visit. A poor review inspired her to call and we discussed again, this time leading to an immediate refund. So it took some doing but it worked out. Also, they had just opened the clinic in Warrenton at the time, even said they stayed up most of the night to get ready, so maybe were out of sorts leading to the clerical error. The quality of care I couldn't say since I did not receive any actual dental care.

There was so much that was wrong with this entire process with staff and provider alike that I wouldn't know where to begin.

Absolutely terrible service understaffed is a understatement. Candy the receptionist is the worst here by far. She has no compassion at all. Billing has been a nightmare. They had over 2 weeks to find out something. We'll it never happened so we do it day if the appointment. She says she can't wait and can't call. But I need to pay and they might reimburse me. Well it's covered and she still wants me to pay. I will absolutely be fighting this.
