I bought the combo ticket. The tour guide was very informative about pirate history of New England. Just be aware that it gets really dark when you enter the caves, So watch your steps.

What a wonderful little museum filled with actual history of the pirates life and an actual ship. The museum offers actual artifacts from the discovered wreck of the Whydah. Additionally they actual treasure from the discovery and some you are able to touch at the end of the tour. It brings the life of what the age of piracy was like.

Great unique museum that is not only information...but also includes authentic pirate treasure! The museum discusses the lives and dates of many different pirates throughout piracy's golden age. Some people are dressed in seafaring costumes and are a joy to look at. The main attraction is definitely getting to feel some of the authentic pirate treasure at the end of the museum.

A great place for any man, woman, or child who loves pirates! (But if you don't like pirates too much, this museum is not a must visit)

Our first stop. Pirates have a whole new meaning to me. The tour guide did a fantastic job with the information. Learned some things about our presidential history!

We had so much fun! Our guide was amazing, so animated, had an amazing way of telling the stories with lots of information and humor. I’m sorry that I can’t remember his name but if you recognize him in the pic please give him our thanks! Super campy for sure and probably wouldn’t of had as much fun had it not been for the guide making it such a blast!

As a huge pirate historian fan, this place was great. Always been a fan of Tew, Avery, Kidd etc and I thought I knew a majority of their history but the guide we had was awesome and told us about things I didn't even know. I must for every pirate fan and the gift shop is cool as well! The guides dress as pirates as they take you through the tour. All are friendly and well educated. 5 stars well deserved!

What a fun museum! Worth doing and the guide was super corny in the best way. We purchased the tickets that allowed us to save money and attend 3 museums.

Friend and I visited on 5/15 and our group was us plus another couple. Tour lasted about 25 minutes. Our guide dropped some nice jokes/sarcasm into the tour to keep it light and engaging. Word of the wise, buy the museum combo ticket since it’ll also get you into the witch dungeon and witch history museums as well. Regular admission was $8 and our combo tickets were $31

Our tour guide was wonderfully engaging. We enjoyed taking in the history and hearing the stories from our guide. The artifacts are interesting and it was a nice treat to be able to look closely while hearing tales from our guide. The tour goes at your pace, which we liked since my daughter and I like to read and look at the details. We didn't feel rushed and felt that the guide added a lot of value. Great for families or those interested in an interactive walk through a pirate's journey.

Like most museums you need to read alot to get the most of it.
This is a new pirate exhibit based on a confirmed pirate ship and treasure.
We took our time and looked and read most everything. We spent well over an hour.
They were not very busy so, so an attendant walked with us and answered questions explained various items of interest.
I would assume, this royal treatment may not be available during busy times.
Another couple came in after us and went thru fairly quick. So, if seeing pirate artifacts is more to your style than reading you can go thru much faster than we did.
A short movie clip at the beginning and you begin your walk thru.

Note to the establishment:
Well done, but, might I suggest a spot where a button could be pushed on a display and a narrative plays when someone isn't available to walk thru or be posted in areas of primary interest.

We didn't actually see much of the museum as they have wax figures and my kids are scared of them. However the staff was friendly and the gift shop prices were reasonable.

Wonderful experience today. The administrator talked to me and my two young sons in depth of all the new developments in the pirate ship discovery. I found it to be a very informative experience. Highly recommend a visit if you are in Salem.
