Nathaniel Hawthorne's Birthplace

Great place to visit. Very gothic and historical.

The full tour is worth it, even if it is a little pricey. Not a tourist trap like most of sights in Salem. Guides are knowledgeable.

Interestingly, this house is both the birthplace of Nathaniel Hawthorne and it isn't. As is plainly articulated by signage, the entirety of the house was moved from its original location to now rest beside the House of the Seven Gables years ago, making it possible to tour these two highly interesting sites in one location.

Kayla was magnificent and incredible informative. She is very customer friendly, and enjoys discussing history and politics.

Got to see these as a part of our House of Seven Gables tour. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful as we went along our tour.

Spend the money for the full tour and not just the grounds....with the full tour, you'll be able to go inside the buildings and learn a little more than you knew when it started.

Didn't go inside but was awesome to see this building being preserved.
