I happened to stop by this store by chance, being in the area and needed something. What I expected was a paint store with the usual help that one might expect, I.e., get some questions answered and that is it. What I pleasantly discovered was that Van and Angela, who are there most days at the paint counter, were the most helpful and eager staff I could have encountered, I might say in any kind of a retail environment. I was in the discovery phase of color selection and Van not only helped mix some colors, but went above and beyond and helped me with preparing sample color boards. I was not expecting them to be so accommodating and all the while with such pleasant attitude. I went back there several times, well out of the way for me, to narrow down my discovery and each time I received the same level of focused attention and courteous service. The color I ended up with was a very specific and delicate blend of three base colors and Van was superb in matching the sample to the larger quantity I needed. I also happened to engage with Heidi in their Wallpaper section, and she was equally helpful. This review is to let anyone know that if you want to just buy paint and move on, any place might do. But, if you want great service and friendly help, then this particular store is the place to stop by.

Waters & Brown has the best advice and product selection in the area. When I have an important painting project I go to them. Other retailers are fine, even good. Waters & Brown is at least two notches better than the rest. In this case, I needed to paint over a dark blue textured wallpaper that has been on the walls for decades. I used a flat paint and it turned out terrific! What a great solution. I'm very happy with the results. I know I'll be back to W & B soon to get some C2 paint for an old bedroom set that needs a refresh. Thank you Waters & Brown.

Waters & Brown is the place to go on the North Shore for Hunter Douglas window treatments. Not only did they help me pick out the perfect Hunter Douglas operating system, but they also had a great eye for what window treatment style would best compliment my home. The whole process was a breeze.

Debbie Athanas in the Salem store suggested I go with the Hunter Douglas top-down/bottom-up vignettes. So glad I went with her suggestion. The shades are stylish and let in the perfect amount of light.

I'm so thankful for these guys. They know everything about paint. And they aren't even very expensive. Their natural bristle brushes, amazing quality, are actually less expensive than the big home stores.

John Grasso was awesome. We could not match the 1961 stain to save our lives. John did a great job with the stain match and the directions for us to do the match. He's worth every penny!
