Shubie's Marketplace

I really like Shubie’s they have a variety of delicious snacks and treats specialty sauces and an extensive bakery and deli counter. We picked up some great cheeses and crackers, as well as sandwiches this past weekend.

All was excellent and I especially liked the VBC sandwich. The sandwiches come with a bag of chips.

Very nice store. People were very helpful and selection was very good. My only complaint are the prices. Take expensive then add extra to make some products outlandish. A plastic Christmas ball with decorative stickers was $24. Otherwise I liked the unusual products and gift shop items. I picked up a few gifts.

My family has been shopping here for what feels like my entire life, and I’m happy to continue that tradition. Wonderful little family-owned shop run by a phenomenal and incredibly knowledgeable crew. Shubie’s excels in a wide variety of interesting top-tier pantry items, made-to-order sandos, superb prepped foods for lunch & dinner as well as an impeccable selection of wines, snacks and locally-sourced gifts. They also put together wonderful custom gift baskets for any/every occasion that will satisfy even the most discerning of palettes.

Shubie dooby-doo! Love this supermarket. They make killer salads fresh to order. Staff are great and although it can be overpriced at times, I do like the extra options that Shubies provides. It's a nice store and, naturally, being in Marblehead, it's busy but polite and "liberal" lol. They just made over the checkout area and now there's more space available for a better shopping experience! Pokemon players... it also has an awesome pokestop!

I come to Marblehead once a year, and I always include a stop at this exceptional market. They have great food and gift items. The owners, George and Carol, go out of their way to welcome me into this beautiful store.

Love this place. Relaxed, friendly, quality, fresh, not overly expensive. A very interesting wine selection, ditto cheese. Since 1945, and the owners are hands-on. Highly recommend.

I love Shubie’s! Their tomato basil & mozz sandwich is my favorite sandwich (not just in the store, but anywhere). The staff is really nice and helpful, they always have cool gifts, very nice outdoor seating with water, utensils, etc. George has great wine recommendations. Every town needs a Shubie’s.

Nice little store; great for grabbing prepared foods, sandwiches, and snacks. There are also some non-food items which was surprising, but as I understand it, this place has been in business for years. Whatever works.

I ordered a California BLT, which came on ciabatta. In addition to the B, L, and T, there was turkey (the most dominant element, in my opinion) and avocado (the California part, I guess). At $12+, it isn’t cheap but it’s a generous serving and the quality of the ingredients are clearly good quality. The turkey is very thin, delicate, and is complemented well by the creamy richness of the avocado and mayo. The crisp bacon adds great textural contrast and smokiness. The ciabatta is light with a satisfying chew. All in all, I’d say that it was certainly worth the price.

I absolutely love Shubie’s!Such a fun place to shop, has everything anyone could need or want. Wine, cheese, spirits, all kinds of gourmet food, prepared or will be prepared for the customer. Friendly environment. Going to Shubie’s‘ is totally an experience. One must go in and look around -unbelievable variety of everything! All kinds of sweets, desserts, etc. The best of everything! The Italian sandwich. Absolutely, delicious!

Shubie's has a nice selection of different gins and wines.

I love Shubies. This is a place where you can truly get a healthy meal - eat in or take out. Great variety and a wonderful selection of freshly baked sweets as well. They have cheeses, wines and lots of great gift items too. The staff is helpful and friendly. This is a wonderful place to check out and try. I’ve brought several people there and I continue to go back again and again.

Amazing place with excellent prepared foods. Great selection of alcoholic beverages whisky, beer, wine. The place is spotless and the staff is knowledgeable in everything they sell. They have an excellent cheeses section too. You can find all types of kitchen items that are non electrical. Wine openers, tea cups with infuser, garlic crusher, etc. They also sell local, New England, items like real Maple Syrup, t-shirts, etc. Food items are all speciality items and not what you would find at typical grocery store. They are worth the visit but they are not cheap because the items they sell are only of higher quality.

Exceptional prepared foods - restaurant quality. The manger, Doug, couldn't be nicer. He brought in a beer brand per request and somehow remembers my name when I show up a few times each month.

A bit pricey but the quality is superb. We ordered Thanksgiving dinner from them as well which was perfect.

Love this place. They have terrific prepared foods, and friendly service. Excellent wine & beer selection too, and will point you to good deals on them. Family owned for decades, now by George Shubie. It's a tad expensive, but the pricing is fair and you get what you pay for (high quality). Couldn't live without it ...

We had a wonderful experience with the owner who fulfilled a great catering order for our wedding. She was very responsive to all our calls and emails and extremely accommodating to make menu adjustments to meet all our guests dietary needs. We would definitely order from Shubie's again and recommend them highly.

Such a fun, yummy little grocery store. Unbelievable wine and spirits selection for such a small space. Their chocolate availability is superior. Fun things you will never find at your big name grocery store..
