Assonet Roasters

Living in Assonet, I have always driven by Assonet Roasters with interest in seeing what they have to offer. I finally stopped in with my to give them a shot. Upon entry, I was pleasantly surprised with all they have to offer.

From great selections of coffee to breakfast, lunch and prepared meals. I ordered their dark roast blend, hot, and was impressed with the taste.

My family and I ordered breakfast. I had the Southern Biscuits and Gravy with Two Eggs added and homefries, my son had chocolate chip pancakes and bacon, and my wife ordered eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast and homefries. Everything was reasonably priced and cooked great. The flavor of everything was perfect and the service was outstanding and welcoming.

Being in close distance, I will surely be visiting more often!!

I went to Assonet roasters for the first time and it was their first day reopening. I ordered the Florentine Benedict and it was amazing! I order eggs Benedict every time I go for breakfast and it was by far the best I've had. Our waitress was a sweetheart and the place is so cute. So happy we got a great place close to home.. definitely will be going back!

Seriously, one of the best breakfast spots. It is cash only however worth a trip to the atm. The home fries are the best I have had and the food and coffee were great! They make kids breakfast items into the shapes of animals with a good portion. Will be back many times!

Breakfast is great every time! Eggs cooked perfectly and the home fries are great, love the seasoning and they are just the right amount of crispy. Haven't dined in due to the pandemic but I'm sure the experience is pleasant.

I have been wanting to try this place since I found out about it! I finally ordered some takeout and got the banana chocolate chip pancakes, with home fries and they were amazing! This place is small and cute, with the perfect assortment of your favorite comfort food and combinations! :)

Great home fries. Super kind and attentive staff. A much needed home town feel in a village absent of such a place. Prices are fair and they have a coffee reward puritan for frequent customers.

We went there last week and had a great time. Service was fast and very friendly. Food was amazing and everyone left happy and will definitely be back with the kids.

My wife and I just ate here for the first time. The service was great and I was able to get three coffee refills without a problem. The food was great and not overpriced. Our bill came to about $24 which I find comparable to other breakfast restaurants. Although a little out of our way I know we’ll stop in again.

Delicious breakfasts for both dine-in and take out -- coffee is comparable to Starbucks robust flavor, breakfast sandwiches are high quality with eggs cooked to order, variety of meat, cheese and bread options. Expect to wait (well worth it) if dining-in on weekends since this place is justifiably in high demand.

Good food. Good selection of food, which is cooked well, and very well presented.
The wait staff are attentive, accurate and friendly, with will-timed check-ups.
Regarding the C-19, the Roasters is respectful and practical. Very comfortable. Nice job you guys!

A few things to note:
1. Assonet Roasters is a cash only operation. We did not know this because we didn’t see it anywhere online. We had to go to the drive up ATM next door.
2. They only serve breakfast til 11:00AM. Kind of a bummer for me because I wanted eggs. If you like sleeping in or like to eat breakfast whenever, you’ll have to go elsewhere. We didn’t know this either. They had also ran out of turkey for the Monte Christo which is what my boyfriend wanted.
3. Despite these hiccups, the food was incredible. It didn’t take long to come out at all. I got the BBQ Bacon burger. It was cooked perfectly and was a perfect size. The fries were hand cut and deliciously cooked. My boyfriend’s fish and chips were haddock, lightly battered and cooked the way they should be. Not greasy. Just right. He liked the tartar sauce too.

We live in a small town. There’s not a lot to offer. We lost Kathy’s and Assonet Village Pizza, and have felt it. I’m happy we have a new breakfast/lunch place. I just wish they served breakfast during their lunch hours. Good luck with your new venture!

Great coffee! I learned that they get their special blend of beans from Coastal Roasters in Tiverton, RI. I've been driving to Tiverton these last few years, and while they only have a small variety, three choices to be exact, this will definitely save me a couple of trips to Coastal Roasters. Of coarse I'll still get some of my favorite coffees every now and then from Coastal.

The food is also top notch. They have a fair selection of breakfast and brunch/lunch items and I can't wait to try some of them. I ordered an omelette which I rarely do because most restaurants/diners almost always overcook the eggs, but from the great word-of-mouth reviews that I heard, I thought I'd give it a try. I was not disappointed. The eggs where fluffy and moist but not runny.

Now for the downside, and there really isn't all that much of one. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. I believe they close somewhere around 2 in the afternoon during the week except for Mondays when they're closed. The other drawback is that they only accept cash. That's sort of a biggie for me as l seldom carry cash and there have been a few times when I had to pass as a result. In any event if you're in the area and are looking for a place to eat and a great cup of java, I highly suggest you give Assonet Roasters a try.

Best eggs Benedict I ever had! I’m thrilled we finally have a breakfast place in the area and even more thrilled with how yummy the food is! 5 star food and 5 star service!

This place is a hidden gem!!!

The coffee is delicious, the food is phenomenal, and the service is GREAT!!! I asked if they can make food without vegetable oil and they said they NEVER USE VEGETABLE OIL!!! 🤯🥳

I got an omelet and it was delicious!!

Our breakfast was perfect... I enjoyed the atmosphere...nice touch for Assonet...can't wait to try their lunch menu.... Go and see..worth the visit and more!!!👍👍👍

Hands down one of the best breakfast places in the area for sit down or just a quick grab and go... Only downside is they are cash only or else I'd be there everyday

Food was delicious and there was plenty of it. I had the Rt. 79 special - yummy. Will go again. Remember to bring cash - no cards accepted.

Really great little gem. Fantastic service and the food was very fresh and good. They only take cash though.
