Pastor Scott is so welcoming and very personable. Thank you for all your hard work you do to support the LGBTQ community in your congregation.

Wonderful, friendly, welcoming, relaxing atmosphere. I started attending bc my friend,Gail and her partner Carol invited me. I am glad I went. Nice people at church and I love the treats after service. 😊. I try to attend often but work prohibits me sometimes or other situations. Worth giving it a try. Scott gives good sermon- not too long but it has a definite point. Besides I can only remember one primary point at a time!

I have been a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church about three years and as a former Roman Catholic, Holy Eucharist and the Liturgy of the Mass was and is very important to me. The music during liturgy at St. Peter’s Is joy filled as we gather together, meditative as we ponder the word of God, and expressive of our thankfulness upon receiving Holy Eucharist. Our community is not so large that one would feel overwhelmed and lost in, and yet we are growing each year with young families. We are very welcoming and yet respect someone coming to our spiritual home for the first time. I always say to friends who are searching, “come, just come”and experience the spirit of Jesus in a deeper way. Peace to all, Carol Xavier

As my 94 year old Mother's dementia progressed, she began to recall her upbringing in the Roman Catholic church. She had left the Catholic church upon marrying a Protestant. I was raised in a Methodist church. In an attempt to bring peace to my Mom, we began to attend St. Peter's Episcopal church 5 months ago. This community is a blessing and a gift the both of us. The warm, friendly and inviting environment immediately drew us in and we are so at home in this Church community. I have attended numerous Churches throughout my life and St. Peter's is truly my new home !

Searching for a friendly, welcoming, warm, loving Christian community led me on a nearly 2 year journey. Visiting approximately 20 different congregations and revisiting some numerous times in search of a spiritual home for myself and my two grandchildren was fruitful. I am Thankful for this sojourn. After a while I felt God was telling me that if I simply sought after His presence with all of my heart he promised to reveal to my grandchildren‘s hearts and minds His creative life and power of love. I took God up on this challenge and continued to seek a place where I might be of service to others and I stopped dragging my grandchildren with me from church to church. 😮
I then found St. Peter’ s Episcopal Church.
Having been baptized in the Methodist Church and worshipping in that denomination for many years. (FYI the Methodist Church evolved out of the Episcopal Church which is a direct descendent of the Roman Catholic Church). I felt at home at Saint Peter’s. However, what I found amazing and extremely enriching was the theological depth and breath of understanding and acceptance at St Pete’s. The pastor and priest, Scott, is a former Roman Catholic priest. The depth of love, inclusive theological insight, quiet spirituality and dynamic presence of the Holy Spirit is profound in this congregation in part because of father Scott. It is my belief that God led me here so that I might be of greater use to Him in service to others. I am going to cut this review short because I don’t think anybody wants to read 10 pages of what I have to say.
If you are searching for a spiritual home where the presence of God in the Holy Spirit is easily accessed I recommend you visit St. Peter’s.
You may find God leading you there as He did me!
I hope to see you sooner than later.

Steve

My mom lives in town and adores this idyllic church. We’ve gone over outside of service to enjoy its aesthetics, nestled in the quaint seaside town and have attended with my family several times - it’s clear to see why it’s such a heartfelt anchor for her; its wonderful inclusivity, compassionate pastor and caring and diverse community are compelling.

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in South Dartmouth has been an amazing saving Grace in my life. Being a lifelong Catholic and of late being disenchanted with said organization and feeling extremely displaced, St. Peter’ Episcopal Church has welcomed me with Open Arms! I am So Grateful 🙏

Posting this for my husband Alan Genereux.... St Pete’s is a wonderful example of fellowship and it has helped me to return to my deepest loving Christian roots and find new and glorious peace with Jesus .....
I am so pleased to find a church where my son can get married someday and has focus on helping the community in many different ways.

A very welcoming congregation. The pastor and the congregation demonstrate and exhibit this statement: "All are welcome at God's table."
