Grand Central Station Barber Shop

As a woman walking into a barber shop, I get a little anxious, but Willy makes me feel at ease. He makes sure our vision is in alignment for my hair. Clean shop and interesting conversation.

I’ve been looking for a barber shop in New Bedford that provides high quality haircuts since I’ve moved down here a couple of years ago. I saw Grand Central Station here on google and I have to say that Will gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had. He knows his way around with trimmers, scissors, and a straight razor like no one else I’ve ever seen before. I’m definitely coming back here whenever I need a haircut.

Excellent old school barber. He takes his time to get to know your hair. He is a relentless perfectionist. I can't say enough good things about him. No appointment needed. He only takes walk-ins. I highly recommend him.

Great spot, good location and Willie is a great barber who knows how to work with different and difficult types of hair. My go-to spot for sure.

I haven’t been to the barber since I was 3 years old, my mother was a professional hairdresser until she hung it up very recently. So as you could imagine, going somewhere else gave me some anxiety after having my hair done by the same person after 20 years. As soon as I arrived, Willie greeted me right at the door as he was working on another gentleman’s cut. The wait time was not long at all (especially for a walk in oriented shop on a Friday). When he finished the other gentleman’s cut, I was already impressed by his craftsmanship based on what I saw. Throughout the whole experience we were able to talk and laugh like we had known eachother for years. In fact, all of the other customers in the shop were just as lively as it’s barber. You can tell that his clientele keep coming back for a reason. I informed him that I hadn’t been to the barber since I was a little kid and I can imagine he was feeling some pressure because of that, but it never showed. I received the perfect haircut! I also opted for a beard trim and eyebrow trim as well, I walked out looking like a new man and even everyone else in the shop was impressed with the work Willie had done. I could not be more pleased at the surgical precision and overall skill that this guy has. He cut my hair like I had been visiting the shop for a decade. I cannot recommend any other place higher, this shop has the full package and if you are even slightly on the fence about giving him a shot you will NOT be disappointed. I’ll be coming back for sure!

I been getting my haircut with willy for well over 10 years. Always been more than happy with the cuts. I wouldn't want my hair cut by anyone else. place is always clean and the haircuts are quick and high quality!

Was looking for a new barber since I moved from Rhode Island especially one that is open on Mondays. I found Grand Central Station on Google and read the reviews and they were all very positive. I made an appointment this morning & Willie did an awesome job. I think I found my barber and I will definitely be back again. It's also great to know that he uses the straight edge razor which my old barber used. Not too many do that nowadays. Next time, I will also get a shave as he does those too. Very reasonably priced.

The owner was very friendly right from the beginning. An amazingly welcoming vibe right when you enter the shop. He took his time to fix another barber's "handiwork" and clearly has the experience to work with a variety of hair types. I left satisfied and very much looking forward to my next haircut. Thank you for your time, and efforts.

Within one day of getting my hair cut at Grand Central, I was instantly receiving compliments on my hair, something that had never happened to me before. I am extremely impressed with the owner's barbering skills. I WILL be back again. 5 stars.

My dad loves it here. The man was so nice and welcoming to us and my dads hair looked amazing. We have never been more pleased with the result. The pricing is very affordable and worth it. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a barber

Always the perfect cut!! Treated like family soon as you walk threw the door. All services are always on point. Willy has been doing my hair for 4 years I won’t let anyone else cut my hair.

Literally just got back from grand central on Dartmouth street. Willie did an amazing job. Faded me up. Took care of my beard and eye brows. Took his time making sure everything looked perfect. Never felt rushed. Left there looking 10 years younger. I noticed that it had a 5 star review on google, that's why I gavethem a try. Definitely glad I did. Extremely reasonably priced as well.

Great atmosphere. Great cuts. My 14 year old was giddy with excitement at his first acceptable and first great haircut(in his opinion) definitely go here and definitely recommend to your friends.

I was walking around in a hat for months after going to another close by shop, [no names but] located on Rivet St.. Willie is a pro, he corrected that bs right quick. Comfortable relaxed atmosphere, not like other shops. Cuts don't take 4ever, he is skilled, concentrates & knows well what he's doing the 1st time. In short, Simply The Best.
