Our dining experience started with a warm and friendly greeting from Nicole. Her service was outstanding. We started with Portuguese bread with oil and then munched on the best clam fritters. Our main courses were Fried Scallops and Portuguese Steak. My wife’s scallops were perfectly cooked as was my steak. If you are in the north end of NB and looking for a great place for a couple to eat, this is the place.

Visited with my Massachusetts family from Alabama and they brought me here for lunch on Memorial Day. Service was a bit slow but the food was phenomenal. I had the baked stuffed scallops with a vegetable blend and mashed potatoes. This will definitely be a spot I would frequent if I was a local. My family says it is one of their favorites!

Highly Recommend this spot!! Super clean inside, the waitress was on point. Update: Came back to try more: Mozambique fries were amazing, spinach chicken pizza so good and fresh and mozz sticks were yummy. The first time we came we ordered buffalo chicken as an appetizer, also got complimentary bread which was so fresh and soft inside. He ordered Bifana sandwich he says it is the best he has had in this city!! I ordered fish & chips. The fish was fresh and hot and delicious! I didn't care for the fries. Our bill was $35 the first time and was worth every penny.

Just started going there a few months ago, I've never had a bad meal there! Prices are great, and the quality will keep you coming back! Great atmosphere as well... Update... I've now been here a handful of times... Never disappointed!!! Food is amazing, as well as prices! David, the owner in always hands on ... Such a great restaurant to patronize! Hands down, one of the cities best!

Service was great. Food was excellent. Great choices. Very unique menu with many unique takes on the normal New Bedford cuisine. Almost a hidden gem.

This restaurant is absolutely one of my favorites. I ordered Fish & Chips from them yesterday for dinner. They were quick with the order and it was fresh. I've ordered Fish and Chips from numerous place in New Bedford & in my opinion, David's has one of the best. The piece of fish was a decent size, the fries are hand-cut fries, & the Cole slaw given was a heaping amount and tasty. I have ordered from David's before, once for take out & one time as a dine in guest. Both of these times I was amazed at the portion size & the flavors were on point with the dish I ordered(Chicken Madeira).

A great experience! The food was delicious and the waitress was sweet as pie. Will definitely come back.

This place is awesome— the nachos were amazing, the steak was perfect, and the Pastelitos were so flavorful. We had three entrees, three appetizers, drinks, and dessert and still paid less than $25 a person. Definitely look forward to visiting again when back in town.

The food was amazing! Great family restaurant. Very affordable. I felt a little rushed despite it not being very crowded. All in all it was a great experience. Would highly recommend.

The Portuguese steak was delicious. David's Tipsy seafood pasta was delicious as well. Prices are reasonable, portions plentiful, service was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Warm & cozy atmosphere. Our waitress, Shaanon, was very informative in helping us with the many choices on the menu & the food was fresh & fantastic! Highly recommend!

Went for the first time today and my food my delicious. Great place for Portuguese food and seafood. I noticed they had a fairly large kids menu as well so I'll be coming back with my daughter. Service and drinks were good as well. No complaints.

I had a medley of grilled octopus, New Bedford scallops and roasted rossert potatoes washed down with Madeira Port house made Sangria with some fresh Portuguese rolls soaked in an olive oil garlic side sauce
The menu is vast. My new favorite spot for me and my best friend.

Got the Chicken Mozambique nachos & the Portuguese Steak! Everything is clearly homemade, flavorful, & absolutely delicious. Was definitely worth the hour drive and I will definitely be going back more than once!

I made reservations for a party of 15 for a wedding celebration. I spoke to the manager Richard and he was so helpful and accommodating. They had the table set up and area decorated before our time slot (thankfully, as we were a bit early.) It was such a pleasant experience from start to finish. The food was delicious and plentiful and there was not one complaint from anyone in the party. That in itself is amazing!
We had never been there before but had heard great things about it. Everyone agreed that the food was so good and the menu so extensive, we will definitely be back again soon. Thank you to the staff for all that you did to make our celebration a happy event!
