Black Bass Grille

The clam chowder was excellent and the fish super fresh. We sat outside and enjoyed the twinkling lights overhead, too. There's nothing like the conversation and laughter of the locals to warm your heart while eating at this place.

The service here was delightful and attentive. I really liked the attention paid towards the specials, and how were directed through the menu.

We sat in the outdoor section, which felt very comfortable and homey. Like we were in a perfect backyard picnic. There was live music and twinkling lights, which added to the atmosphere.

The food was delicious. We enjoyed our appetizers and our entrees. The seafood was especially fresh tasting, with the Fish and Chips and LongNeck Clams being special standouts for being well-friend and still incredibly tender.

this place is amazing. i am from Florida and have eaten here twice. the first time i had the fish sandwich with cheese. it was amazing. fried perfect and was huge. could’ve made two sandwiches out of the piece of fish. the second time i had the grilled chicken sandwich with bacon. the chicken was one of the best i’ve every had. had nice char marks that added flavor to the chicken. the french fries are delicious. the staff is amazing, friendly and if you ask , the chef ,owner Matthew will come out and chat with you. a great guy all around. was a pleasure to enjoy the cooking and wanted to eat there a few more times. but they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. but i would rate this place a solid 10 out of 10. i don’t always give 10’s out. but this place is a 10. you will not be disappointed at all.

In tahn visiting for a week. First visit to the restaurant, had the chicken sandwich, it was outstanding !!!! The service was very good also !!!! Soooo, decided to come by again and had the chicken sandwich again !!!! Again it was very good, along with the service. Met the owner, Mathew, who is also the cook !!! Great guy & a very good cook !!! Highly recommended this place !!!

Hidden Gem, great place, alot of fun. Small, but has a good size bar. I would really love to keep this place a secret. Bartender Dawn works her tail off. Good Time

Solid spot for a late night dinner!

Best chicken wings we have had in a long time - the Nashville Hot did not disappoint! My burger was cooked perfectly and hubby's Chicken Diablo pasta was tasty.

Bartender was our server - very personable and attentive to all of his customers, we never had to wait for him. He consistently checked on us without hovering all while engaging his bar crowd and running food from the kitchen.

Game was on the tvs with some lively bar customers, so not a romantic date night spot per say, but a Date Night it was :) We will definitely be returning to this local gem!

The owner was so nice. I went to see my friend's solo show there on a slow night. Loved the bartender. She lives in my town. I talked to the bartender and the owner for a little while and even had a shot with them on the house. It was Irish whiskey so I really enjoyed it. I didn't eat there this time but I will in the future. They had a good selection of beers. The music was great! Butch McCarthy is there on Wednesday nights. I used to go there when it was a different owner but things seem to be going well there with this new owner. I wish I could remember his name because he really made me feel welcome. The small dining room is decorated so tastefully and you feel like you're a guest in a friend's home. Quaint, cozy and I'm sure the food is great because of the other details I noticed. I worked in the restaurant business for a long time and I'm really good at picking out great places to dine and this is one of them. Plus it's right on the water. You can't beat this place!

The French Fries were absolutely amazing tonight. Hot crispy. Beers were cold and delicious! John made some great cocktails. Crab cakes were mostly lump crab meat with a delicious aioli. Steaks were cooked as ordered and tasted great. My salad was cold and crisp. A great experience. We'll be back.

The service and food are amazing here. It's a hidden gem that you will have to try. You get everything here. A place where you can have a drink, listen to live music, and meet many locals. So glad we found this spot and we plan to be regulars.

Had the most amazing time this past weekend. The staff, specifically Dawn, Connor & Matt were beyond exceptional. Even during these COVID times they really went above and beyond to not only make their patrons feel safe, but moreover deliver a superior customer experience. We enjoyed our time Friday night so much so that we had to return again the next day. Their passion for what they do and who they are truly permeates throughout. Cheers to the Black Bass Grille and their superior customer excellence! Oh and the drinks and food do not disappoint either!

Great Lobster Roll and Crab Cakes!

Everything about our visit today was excellent from the waitress to the drinks and especially the food. The atmosphere is cozy and I should have eaten slower to enjoy it longer. We had the salmon, corned beef and cabbage and an appetizer of shrimp. Now if that don't grab you nothing will! It was a tad pricey for New Bedford but not Padanaram and the flavors we experienced were quite indulging with few comparisons. Nice Job...we shall return!

Happened into this place by chance. Looking at the outside, didn't expect much walking up with my wife. Could not have been more wrong! The inside is quaint and welcoming. We sat by the wood stove to take off the chill. From appetizers to dessert, the food was beyond reproach! Service was outstanding. Very clean and friendly. You can't go wrong!

Awesome food! The Fried Feta Cheese was delicious! The waitress was friendly, it is a very welcoming atmosphere. Beautiful view at night! Very quiant little place! Thanks to my boyfriend for finding this place! Now may be one of our favorite spots to eat!❤

Amazing dinner! I think I could have just eaten the shrimp gammas all night been happy! I left too full after sampling the ribeye, risotto and bouillabaisse. And let’s not even talk about the plums and pound cake for dessert. Todd and Jeffrey were an added plus, with their wit and recommendations. I can’t wait to go back.

This was our 1st time visiting this lovely grill. We were a party of 4 our orders were cooked to perfection. Swordfish, baked salmon, Scallops and mac & cheese with lobster.I would return often.
The food , servers and total atmosphere was very friendly we totally felt at home.

The grille is cozy and intimate, outdoor dining is also available. Incredible food, and excellent service. Matt makes your visit special, as well as the rest of his staff! Dont judge a book by its cover. Outward appearance does not exemplify a five star dining experience, but the food and service does !

Excellent food and atmosphere. Amazing waitress Kirsten... fun, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Our drinks never went empty and she made excellent suggestions from the menu.
