Tomato & Basil Taunton

I absolutely love the name of this restaurant. It sounds like the perfect Italian place. However, it's not. I hate not giving 5 stars, but when we walked in, there was a bunch of seating. We went up to the counter, and the young man behind it was super nice and professional. He asked if we're doing takeout or dining in. We chose dining in, we were on a date night. We had to take a menu from the counter, bring it back to the table we chose, then go back up to the counter to place an order. I had shrimp scampi and my husband had a burger. He said his burger was delicious. My scampi sauce was quite tasty. The noodles felt like they were boiled at opening and reheated at the time of order (I could be wrong). There was a hefty amount of shrimp, which I think was grilled and they were butterflied and not the best. The garlic bread was baked to perfection! I do want to try them again, I think they're known for the pizza. I think what threw me off was my shrimp scampi was served in a plastic takeout container with a black lunch tray lol and we had to use plastic ware that was sitting in a canister. They were very busy with phone orders/take out. I think this place is more take out than dine in. Maybe back in the day it was a sit down restaurant, there was even bar seating.

This place is a hidden gem. I got a chance to spoke to the owner, Keroles, and he was extremely friendly and welcoming. I have tried his meatball, steak tip, chicken pharm, and sausage pharm subs and they were all great. The bread was crunchy but not chewy and the flavor was right. His cheese pizzas are also a good choice for on the go and it is not greasy. Definitely going back to try out more of his menu!

Always fresh, good service and kind staff what more can you ask for always a pleasure to go here.

As always I love ordering their Buffalo Chicken Calzone. It's def a family fave. As to to other food dishes you always get more. If 2 eat off of 1 plate these more than enough

Excellent food, owner is very nice. Ordered a steak tip calzone was a little more then the shredded steak calzone but we'll worth it. LRG Cheese pizza is still the best price in the area.

Customer service is amazing. The Food was great. The Golden fever pizza is amazing. It’s a must try. The prices are very reasonable definitely will come back again.

I order from Tomato and Basil on a regular basis. They make the one of the best greek salads that I've ever had. There food is awesome and the service is spectacular. I highly recommend this establishment.

We were looking for a spot for lunch after church and Tomato and Basil’s came up in our search. It was 2 minutes away. The pizzas were very good. Generous toppings and delicious crust. The Chicken Broccoli Alfredo was delicious and portion size was very ample, enough for 3 people. We’ll definitely go again !

One of my favorite spots. Pizzas are delicious and the chicken broccoli alfredo is the best. Highly recommend the potato skin pizza.

Tonight we ordered from tomato basil. The onion rings were the best part. They were soooo good 😊 the delivery woman was wonderful and I was frustrated with the wait but it is a Friday on a holiday weekend and she went out or the way for my family to make sure we got everything we ordered ❤🍅🌿
