Merrill's on the Waterfront

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Merrill's and it was so beautiful. Tyler and his staff were extremely friendly and easy to work with. The food was amazing!! The space was so beautiful, and it had a perfect view of the ocean. They also were so kind to set up some decorations that I had provided and they added some that they had as well. It was overall a great experience!!

We have been making to try out Merrill’s forever. Finally made an impulse decision to go and it was the best way to spend an evening! The food was crazy delicious. Our server was gracious enough to ask the kitchen about food allergies and the kitchen was able to work with us. Truly, the food alone would have us back but the attention to our needs locks us in for future visits. Highly recommend this spot!

The food was wonderful. I had the scallops, my husband had calamari and we shared the tomato salad. We sat outside, with a beautiful view of the working ships. (Inside has a view as well.) The staff were nice. I would recommend having a meal here or enjoy their bar- also has a view.

We held three events the weekend of May 13-15 at Merrill's and each one ran smoothly. The food was delicious, the servers and bartenders friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Tyler, the events manager, for making all my requests happen. Wish we lived closer to visit more often. Instead will have many happy memories of how Merrill's helped make a wedding weekend perfect.

I stumbled upon this place. It was great! Natasha was great! I will definitely plan to go back when I am in the area.

I was dining alone while on a job assignment. They were packed. Staff made a spot for me. I ordered simple stuff that came out great (and pretty quick - maybe 1/2 hour)! House salad and fish tacos. When I was leaving, THEY decided that it had taken too long for the order to come out and wouldn't charge me for an exorbitant drink bill despite my insistences. I've been here many times before and always had great experiences and dinners, but this one was wonderful and I didn't deserve this level of care or courtesy. I'll certainly be back for the food and view, but now mostly to enjoy the extraordinary level of service, and hope to thank the servers once again!

Great place!! We enjoyed sitting outside on the water with dinner and drinks. Cayla our server couldn’t have been nicer and the manager, Mia (not sure of the spelling) coming over to say hello and asking if everything was okay and chatting a bit was impressive. We’ll be definitely be frequenting there.

Always delicious! Friday night at 6pm and there wasn't a wait. A great hidden gem in New Bedford @amp_eats (instagram and Facebook)

Great experience at the restraunt. Food was delicious the service was warm and welcoming. The owner actually came by and said hello. Hats off to the head chef there. All the food was delicious. (The tips were to die for) Wide variety of seafood dishes fresh from the harbor. Would dine again

We are down in New Bedford, MA at Merrill's on the Waterfront....

The restaurant management took over 1 year ago. This establishment is spacious and clean.
One of the owners named Charlie introduce himself to us and checked on our visit.
Nice decor and table set up.

We dined on the Waterfront deck.

I (Ollie) ordered the honey truffleed bone-in chicken wings. The wings were fried hard. Good taste.

I also ordered their grilled cheese sandwiches with bacon. Delicious, I loved the cheese they used.

Jose ordered the Clam chowder for starters. Than Jose ordered Orange ginger scallops with coconut rice and grilled Asparagus.

Big Jazz aka Jeffrey started off with Clam chowder, Clam casino and crab dip.

Jazz's main course was baked seafood casserole... Jazz gives this dish 2 forks 🍴🍴 out of 5. Jeff stated that the casserole was dry and lack flavor and seasoning.

The alcoholic beverages hit the spot...

The waterfront view was limited to just a small wharf covered by fishing ships. Unable to see out in the ocean.

The chef was amazing and the food was delicious and the drinks were to die for

Food was amazing. We all tried different things and sanpled off of each other. We tried the Mozambique flat bread from the special menu, chicken wings,
sweet chili chicken sandwich and the steak tips. Everything looked great AND tasted absolutely delicious. Drinks were great too. We got the Berry Acai martini and the Apple Bourbon whiskey sour. Sooo good. Staff was great and atmosphere was perfect. Beautiful view on the water. Will definitely save room for dessert next

We had the brunch here, and it was excellent. The warming trays were always filled, and I never had to wait for them to be refilled.
Waitress was very attentive, and when they say bottomless mimosas, they mean it. She was constantly coming by and refilling the glasses, and I never had to ask for a refill.

My first time here was for a baby shower. The restaurant was closed and the baby shower was upstairs near the entrance. It was an open event room and it was nice looking.

The food was setup on my right after I walked up the stairs. When I went to get food, the staff asked what you wanted and they put it on my plate (excellent Covid safety). The food was pretty good, too. It was breakfast.

There was a bathroom upstairs as well, which was nice and clean. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. At the end, I stayed with my family (the mother-to-be) as we packed up everything and helped the staff cleaning up a little as well. They were very nice girls working really hard.

I highly recommend this place! Book an event here because you won't be disappointed. Staff are wonderful here!!

Love this place! Sunday brunch is the best.

From drinks and appetizers to dessert and coffee everything was beyond what we expected. An absolute 10+. The atmosphere was great looking out onto water with fishing boats, like a picture. The filet was the best I have ever had!!! We will be back.

This place is Beautiful, Spotless and runs like a smooth elegant Cruise Ship. Bravo!!!

I held an event on Sunday at Merrill’s. Overall, it was a wonderful experience! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and plentiful for all the guests. Special shout out to the event manager, Tyler. He was very accommodating and supportive leading up to the event and the day of the event. He even came in the office the next day on his day off to allow me to pick up the rest of the cake that was left behind. Exceptional service! Definitely will be hosting more parties at Merrill’s. Highly would recommend!
