Great food, not a huge menu, but big enough to find something for everyone! Great staff, very attentive and friendly! Lots of good drinks, great bar selection. The atmosphere can't be beat, really cool murals and collectibles lining the walls, good music selection, and a wide variety of movies being played on all the TVs, and a good amount of arcade machines to chose from! Highly recommend checking this place out!

A nerd's paradise. Chicken tenders and those loaded tater tots were hot, crispy, and delicious. AND THE TOTS ARE TETRIS SHAPED. ENOUGH SAID? Got a Donkey Kong for the drink, and it was such a a pleasant surprise, though I gotta say my husband's Spyro was sooooo good too!!! Perfect and fun date night ❤

Oh how I wish a place like this existed near where we live. Good food, good beer selection, good service and old style arcade games. The nachos were very good and my kids enjoyed the Mac and cheese and pizza. The kids meals come with $5 worth of tokens which is great value. We'll definitely come back when in the area.

Located in Downtown New Bedford PLAY is a great place for friends and family that are into classic 70's & 80's pop culture and video games. Nice selection of pinball and classic arcade cabinets. Good food and drink selection with many vegan options. Staff was very friendly. 21+ after 8PM. Highly recommended.

Great place to hang out and play some games! Fantastic rooftop bar that overlooks the pier. Awesome drink selections for beers and house made drinks. Food is tasty as well. Bar staff is super friendly. Definitely recommend!

This was my second time here with the first being in the dead of winter. This time we got to experience the rooftop which was really nice. They have plenty of seating including hanging seats on the second floor. The staff was friendly and we got two of their cocktails and they were almost too easy to drink. Great place with a lot of different things to draw you in. However, the stairs leading up to the roof are a little steep, but just use caution and don't get too drunk up there.

PLAY was so much fun! I'm vegan & I knew there were vegan options but I wasn't prepared for how delicious they were! The serving sizes were so big I brought home a ton. The drinks are delicious & our server Travis went above above & beyond. We stayed far longer than we'd planned playing all the games. Highly recommend!

A true time machine...with a bar. Great place to revisit the 80s and show those Stranger Things fans what is was really like. Atmosphere was awesome. Wall murals and decor are next level.

Food was bar style and what you would expect...no better, no worse.

Authentic right down to some of the games eating your tokens and the standard line of "go talk to my manager" from the staff. Ok to live with some of the machines eating tokens now that I am not on a $10 a week allowance! That said, they should check and maintain the machines to prevent such an issue, or be more prepared to dole out replacement tokens more quickly.

Definitely a fun time. A quality add to the New Bedford downtown!

in love with this place! this is my favorite arcade around- has a ton of authentic games from 80s/90s! the food menu is pretty good, and the quality is great! the owners are always extremely nice & have fun personalities! i like the roof deck for a chill vibe & all the bartenders are amazing. i could (and have) spend my entire day in here! every time I bring a new friend here they fall in love with it too- my favorite is the karaoke nights 😊
can’t forget to mention how awesome it is that they create a welcoming environment to all :)

I recently had my friend’s bridal shower at Play Arcade. I am so glad we chose this location due to its great atmosphere and welcoming staff. Our server Amanda was friendly and very attentive. Adam and Lauren were great hosts, making sure we were set up with everything we needed the day of. I highly recommend this location if you are looking to host a small event! Thanks again for having us! Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Just celebrated my son’s 18th birthday at Play in downtown NB, the staff and service were fantastic, food and drinks were great, atmosphere was fun, highly recommend!

The atmosphere here is awesome. Very lively, always busy but not too crowded. I do hope there’s plans to make both sides of the arcade feel more inclusive some day, (the basketball corner is a little dark and creepy but you always gotta ball up baby 🏀). Besides that, drinks are great, food is loved, the entertainment is retro and has a very solid feel to it. A must see spot if you’re in the area!

I'm not a big drinker but decided that I wanted to try revenge of the nerds.
The drink was freaking delicious. Bartenders were very friendly with a nice crowd. Was very pleased to see a really big selection of games so that gamers of all types could enjoy. Also...near the tables there are board games. Definitely a place I'm going to revisit.

Tried this out, this weekend, with my best friend. The intent was to get a few drinks and play some games but we didn’t make it past the bar (we had a lot to catch-up on). We got the nachos (with Doritos). I didn’t even know that was a thing but they were DELICIOUS. Then we had two Dunkaroo shots. AMAZING. Throwback to my favorite childhood snack. I finished off with the “Smurfette.” The drink had pop rocks on the side.. instant nostalgia. Oldschool games & movies, are the theme throughout the establishment. The bartender was super friendly. A++++

As you walk in the door you go through a Time Machine and and are sent into arcade heaven. Games and décor says it all. You can literally spend the whole day there and not have to leave for anything. Clean restrooms, delicious food and fun to keep the whole family entertained for the duration of you stay regardless if it’s 10 minutes or 10 hours.

PLAY Arcade is THE place to host anything party related! Birthday party? Yup! Retirement party? Yup! Company outing? Yup? How about a wedding? Double YUP! My husband & I are honored to have had our “COVID-elopement” in 2020 and our big celebration in 2022, both at Play! From start to finish, Adam & Lauren were both eager to host our wedding day(s) and planned it all with our vision in mind. Everything I threw at them, they accepted with an open mind and made our big day a dream come true! The PLAY crew? Incredible! Until this day, everyone who attended our wedding all raved about Adam and the crew’s incredible service. Everything was clean, organized, and above all, I didn’t worry once about anything on my wedding day. We cannot be any happier as to how our day went! PLAY is more than a restaurant/bar, it’s a family! #ItsAllFunAndGames #PlayAgain

Amazing experience!!! Shared old school video game's with my daughter along side the most incredible staff and food!!! Nachos and fried pickle's a must!!! Decor is phenomenal and unique. Definitely a stop to make if your in NB
