I highly recommend Hawthorn Family Dental for all of your dental needs! The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming and they are great with kids.They always explain their procedures and answer all of my questions. Dr. Mills is very gentle, patient and explains things so I understand what could happen in the future. He gives me options and offers his thoughts so there is a mutual agreement for my dental needs. I now love going to the dentist!

Such a great experience. I was a new patient and they fit me in to replace a filling that fell out from previous dental office within one day! Great welcoming front desk. Hygienist was friendly and accommodating. The doc (Mills) was funny and super thorough with his work. He made sure I knew what he was doing and showed me the end results. Couldn’t have been a better experience and I look forward to being a patient here for a long time.

During my first appointment with this dental practice yesterday, Dr. Crane and assistant Maria worked so well together to repair my chipped veneer. They were both very thorough when checking all my teeth and assessing my situation. Dr. Crane did a great job of repairing my veneer so much so that no one would ever know it had been damaged. I had a great experience all around with this dental practice from the friendly and helpful receptionist to the doctor and assistant. I would recommend this practice.

Everyone is wonderful from the front desk to the dental assistants and my dentist Dr. Mills! My hygienist was amazing and very gentle and thorough. I sm so happy with them.

We really came here for the hot receptionists/office managers: Doris, Diane and company, but how great the dentists, assistants and hygienists are too!! Ok they’re our friends, but in all seriousness, we are always impressed with how quickly we can get in WHEN one of our children falls and breaks a tooth! (Thank you, dental insurance!) Clean, consistent and great work!

Dr Martin always takes the time with me to understand my issue. He is a perfectionist, gentle with my nerves (I fear dental work) and I always feel like I am in good hands. I might also add that the whole practice does excellent work.

Very happy with my experience at Hawthorn family dental. I really enjoy the people who work there and the “old school” vibe. I finally searched out Dr. Mills after having a bad experience at Ghenta and I’m so glad we got back to dentists we know and trust and a hygienist (Karen!) that I had been missing😊

A 2 year old implant decided to loosen and I noticed it after dinner. By morning it was annoyingly loose, but also New Years Eve morning. I called Dr. Pedro who met me with Dr. Mills within 3 hours to make a quick repair. I'm so grateful for the emergency service and was happy to learn that it was the correct thing to do. Further delay could cause catastrophic damage, so... Ask for help and it shall be received. I'm just glad we all had time to make it back in time for the game. Thanks for being there!

I have been a patient of Dr. Mills for 30+ years and can truly say he is a consummate professional. He has taken care of every member of my family, including my children and my 103 year old grandmother (for whom he made “housecalls”). There is no finer dental practicioner or staff on the Southcoast! 👍👍

I was a patient of another dentist who unexpectedly closed down their office several weeks ago. I reached out to several dentists as part of my search. It was challenging to find a dentist who was accepting new patients and not booking out nearly a year.

Hawthorn Dental got back in touch with me a few days later. The office staff was kind and accommodating. They scheduled an appointment for me at their next available which was February, but put me on the cancellation list. I got a text the next day with a cancellation and they saw me today! The front desk staff was not only effective at their job, but also hilarious. The hygienist was gentle, thorough, detail oriented, and accommodating as well - my teeth have not felt this clean in forever. The dentist, Dr. Mills examined me, and told me I was in good dental health.

Dr.Mills and his staff are the best! Moved to this Dental Practice when my previous dentist retired and new owners bought his practice. Suddenly I needed $100s of dollars worth of work, none of which my previous dentist had mentioned or was even concerned about. I made an appointment with Dr. Mills for a second opinion and he agreed that none of that work was warranted. I had Dr. Mills perform a procedure for my gums that I had done one time before. The first time I had it done was 30 years ago and it was brutal. I was really hesitant to have it done again, but so glad that I trusted him that it would be virtually pain free. He made it so simple and it healed very quickly. Highly recommend the Dental practice. Dawn is a great Dental Hygienist who is very thorough and professional as well!
