Cantina 229

Hands down the best restaurant hidden in the Berkshire mountains. I brought a group of 8 friends from boston who became obsessed with this restaurant shortly after their first course. Fantastic drinks as well! Lisa worked with me to accommodate our large group and provided us with a prix fixe menu that was delightful for all guests. I recommend this hidden gem to anyone visiting the Berkshires!

My all time favorite summer restaurant - for me and my husband! - Fresh farm to table food, refreshing drinks, and an outstanding outdoor vibe filled with lush green gardens farm animals. We love walking the grounds visiting the pigs and sheep with pre dinner cocktails.

Exceptional-
The personalization of service, genuine hospitality, inventiveness and utter deliciousness of the food are amazing here. The restaurant and the grounds just add to the tranquility and fun of the experience.

From making the reservations to the chef waving at our car with a big ol' smile as we drove out of the parking lot, we felt well cared for and appreciated.

Everything about this place was exceptional. The online reservation system was easy to use, the ambience was sensational. Excellent service, every person who came to our table was prompt and courteous. The drinks...the spicy Mezcal Margerita was a dream. Perfectly smoky and spicy and yet refreshing. We went for taco night and tried nearly everything on the menu...nothing disappointed with the exception of the chicken tacos were a little dry but still tasty. I only regret not asking to take home a huge container of the pickled vegetables. I would absolutely hands down recommend this place to anyone.

Unreal drinks prepared by a master mixologist. Even better food prepared by a master chef who lives and breathes food. This small, tucked away gem is a must visit when in the area and features an amazing space which includes an ample deck for summer time delight. I HIGHLY recommend any pasta dish they have, and their take on the traditional scallion pancake was a revelation. OH! And get the Reuben egg roll. Unbelievable.

Cantina 229 was fantastic! The ambiance is warm and inviting. The service was friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious! This is definitely a wonderful dining experience.

Had dinner at Cantina with family. The place absolutely deserves all of the 5 stars above. Food is wonderful, unique in a pleasing way. Cocktails are quite interesting. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The dining room has a warm , cozy feel .

It's our favorite place. Have never failed, in years going here, to have beautiful food, incredibly friendly and professional service, and top-of-the line cocktails. They're always innovating and trying new things, but it's consistent and solid at the same time. It feels like family there on the farm, and we love it.

All of our meals have been awesome. I've had every type of taco and they're all tremendously delicious. I recommend the hake/fish tacos, which are expertly done, imo. The margaritas are strong and tasty. Reservations are must if you want a seat in the dining room but there's all manner of picnic seating on the property, which is absolutely lovely. Locals in the know bring their own seating.

Incredible. My wife and I just went by after a change of plans on our anniversary *hoping* that we would be able to at least get a cocktail in if they were fully booked. They were so accommodating, and they made our night even more special. Jeff was incredibly accommodating and attentive, as was Ian. And the food? Fab. The tomato/peach salad tastes like what summer feels like and I had the bipimbap. It was so good I ran back out into the rain to get the dregs once we moved inside from the patio from the rain. My wife had the steak and I stole quite a few bites. Delicious. Also Recommend the mezcal Negroni. Thank you and we will be back

We went to a lovely meal at Cantina featuring Tom Brazie’s Farm New Marlborough beef in the delicious Beef Bourgignon dinner with a frisée salad of fresh kohl rabi, bacon crumbles , and a mustard vinaigrette . The dessert was a sesame nougatine brioche. Fabulous!! Excellent tastes and service.

Our favorite restaurant in the area. Excellent food & excellent service in a beautiful setting. As someone who has worked in restaurants, I really appreciate and admire the way this place is run. Cheers!

My new favorite local place for awesome eats in the Berkshires. The bibimbap is my go-to delicious dish when I can't decide. The menu changes frequently and everything is always really tasty. The location is beautiful, and despite being out of the way it's always packed. Make reservations ahead of time. It's worth it!

Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food and drink! What's not to love!?

The atmosphere at Cantina is unlike any other. It was beautiful, cozy, romantic, relaxed, and high end all at once. The food was out of this world. It was clear everything was fresh and prepared with precision and passion. We will absolutely be back soon!

My husband and I came out to Cantina 229 for a Friday night early dinner, our first time there, and our first meal out since February, due to the pandemic, obviously... What a frickin treat! They’ve got it all—atmosphere, friendly wait staff, delicious fresh tasting food and unique, refreshing drinks. All around excellent vibes. We moved to western Mass in 2019.
This rivals some of our favorite Colorado dining experiences and that’s about the highest compliment I can give. Thank you!!

Our first adventure dining out since covid19 started. Really respectful protocols that made us feel comfortable. Beautiful grounds. Oh, and the food? Creative, fresh twist to American farm fare. Highly recommend.
