Wow - The Frosty Freeze isn’t playing around with their chicken sandwich - it’s legit good, plus the veggies were fresh - and yes, a chocolate shake in February - I don’t care, fries were good too, but the one that was “posing” for the pic got stolen by my doggo Jake from the back seat.

The gal that took my order was so kind, and since I was new customer, recommended the perfect combo, plus it was prepared fresh. Her boss should give her a high five.

Five stars earned Frost Freeze in Franklin, I’ll be back soon!!

Let just apologize right now by saying that I usually try to take a picture of our food before we take a bite, but everything smelled so good that we took a bite or two first then took a picture. The food definitely tasted as good as it smelled and looked!!!

The burgers are the bomb!! Freakin great hamburger especially the quarter pounder. The staff are consistently warm, inviting and patient even when they are slammed with customers, yes there is a bit of a wait but that's to be expected with popular food at affordable prices. The milk shakes and malts are amazing, also try the onion rings and fried green tomatoes, they are fabulous. The outdoor seating is quaint with covering umbrellas and prices are more than reasonable.

What can anyone else say about this local Franklin treasure. I have been visiting this place for the last 25 years and very little has changed through the years. The best thing IMHO is the brown derby, a vanilla cone dipped in chocolate that makes a hard shell around it. Now it is messy, don't try to eat this thing in your car. But they got lots of tables out front to eat at. They got milkshakes and burgers and a bag of tiny burgers for 10 bucks!
Can't go wrong at the Frosty Freeze, post up by that window there and get your order in!

OMIGOSH...who needs fast food in this town? The local "Frosty Freeze" location is a superior alternative!

They make their food fresh, (it may take a while but it's WORTH it) they always keep their prices reasonable, and the picnic table area is actually nice; if you need to eat outdoors!

For those who want an alternative to fast food locations? This place is a better alternative; they put quality before quantity within their food products!

Need to find something better to put baby burgers in!! They sweat and stick to the wrapper every time and pull the top of my bun off!! Love the food but I want the top of my bun🙄

This place has been in operation ever since I can remember. My mother and I before she passed went there for years and years just to get an ice cream cone. I still enjoy going there for those baby and the girls who work there are really sweet too.

This is a quaint little place that takes me back years ago to a much simpler time when going to the ice cream stand was such a treat, before the modern spin on most things best left alone. The food was great and we also had the hot fudge cake which was equally good.
Highly recommend this place, it's worth the trip.

Wonderful, nostalgic feel! Delicious soft serve, and milkshakes. Nice staff, and nice seating area. One thing I'd like to see would be a little fence along the patio by the roadside, so young children can't dart into the road..as it's VERY close. But nonetheless, a nice outdoor seating area to enjoy the treats!

Food was good. And they have a hot fudge cake. Not quite like Shoneys but still as good.👍

As a kid visiting Franklin, KY, my mother would take me and my siblings to this place to eat, and the food was amazing, and it still holds true today. I visited the spot at the end of June, to see if the local eaterie was still there, and it was! My uncle told me if the establishment shuts down, then goes the city of Franklin, KY! Established in 1956, it is one of my favorite places to eat if I am in Franklin, KY! Try it out; you'll enjoy it to! 😉

This place is a gem, landmark. They are always busy, which is a great sign of a great restaurant. We highly recommend stopping by and setting outside enjoying the ice cream.

Stopped here for a burger. First time here. Ordered a double cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and pickles, and a small order of fries. The burger with two patties is large. Tastes like grass-fed beef, but there's no description I noticed on the menu. Will order a single patty next time. The fries are hefty, crinkle-cut potatoes. Plenty in the bag and filling. My wait was reasonable. Not sure what to expect if there is a line to order like at a peak time on a day with great weather.
