Pollo – a Gourmet Chicken Joint is the owners' second food-truck-turned-storefront, following the success of Six Forks Burger Company. I've only eaten here once so far, but if it's anything like their first shop, you are in for a TREAT with no matter what you order.

I'm full carnivore, but one thing that I really appreciate and that I think sets Pollo apart is that they offer three styles of chicken for you to choose for whatever entree you select -- roasted chicken, fried chicken, and NUGGS -- plant-based, vegan, and gluten-free nuggets. So it'll be nice to have somewhere to go (post-pandemic, obviously!) with my vegetarian friends where they have more than just one corner of the menu to choose from!

Pandemic Precautions: Well-spaced tables, masks required (and available if needed), hand sanitizer, single-use items, frequent cleaning, plexi divider at register, and a temporarily-converted parking area for outside seating.

This is really good chicken. Went straight up tenders with their c.jerk sauce and the crazy mac'n'cheese. I'm going to end up trying everything on their menu at this point. Tons of food in every meal.

Very good food and great customer service! My husband called and ordered the 2 tacos with shredded chicken, sauce on the side, and the loaded potato twisters with shredded chicken, sauce on the side. When we picked up the order and got home, we found that there was jerk sauce on the tacos and fried chicken on the loaded potato twisters. We called the restaurant and they offered to remake both dishes. When my husband got there, they also offered to refund both dishes. The corrected dishes were very good! The shredded chicken was moist and all the ingredients were good and fresh.

First time trying it today- tenders with Buffalo ranch... they didn't hassle me on the non mask, people working were very welcoming! I will definitely try another thing on the menu next time! (That bowl caught my eye today, wasn't hungry enough for all that, but next time!) Stoked to have found another great Louisville food place =)

Super delicious streetstyle comfort foods. They’re some sauce bosses, the barnyard and guacomole salsas were fantastic and there’s so many to try. The owners are super sweet and down to earth and it was just an overall excellent dining experience

Excellent food and service is great. Bring a friend because portions are huge. I could never eat 2 egg rolls. Wish they had Thai Peanut Sauce, maybe they will work on it.

I tried the 502 chili week chili. I enjoyed it. My first time dining here. Cute place. I will be back. Recommend 👍👍❤

For #502blackbusinessweek I made my way to lower Brownsboro Rd for some comfort food from the folks at Pollo - a gourmet chicken joint. You can feel the pride in their business as soon as you walk in the door. Rone at the counter suggested the chicken cheesesteak and she wasn't wrong! Add in potato twisters, twisted mac n cheese and some apple slaw and you've got enough for two. Hell...they even gave me a free bottled water! Give this local spot a peek and thank them for feeding the city.

This is a relatively new establishment, opened in the summer of 2020. They were initially a food truck, which is pretty cool.
As for the food itself, I tried the jumbo quesadilla and thought it was very good. I definitely go back to try something else.
The only thing that was not good about my experience was, possibly because it was the evening, I felt like the staff were not very attentive or friendly at the time. Either way, I will give this place at least one more shot and see what other good things they have cooking!

The food was excellent!!!! I ordered the loaded potato twisters, my wife ordered the Baby Mamma with a side order of twisted mac & cheese, and my son ordered the chicken stir fry ? with a side of twisted mac & cheese also (didn't receive). My wife's order came with fried chicken instead of the roasted chicken as advertised. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was they didn't give me everything I ordered but I accept responsibility for not checking my order but I will DEFINITELY be coming back. SOON!!!

First time I ordered here I got a quesadilla and a burrito bowl. The burrito bowl was super delicious but the quesadilla was charred and bitter. I tried calling once I got home but the employees had took the phone off the hook even though they didn't close for another 45 minutes. I ended up messaging them on Facebook and they gave me a full refund plus a gift card. My rating would be a 5 if the phone was not off the hook because I had to call 20 times just to make sure they wasn't on the phone with another customer.

Was quoted 10-15 minutes for food, took nearly 30. Couldn't stay to eat with my 1 y/o because no high chairs. Food wasn't bad but I personally wouldn't describe the chicken as gourmet. From two entrees and two sides my husband and I only really liked the fried okra.

White chili wasn't as good as expected. Service was very slow.
I would go back , but the place needs improvement

Well, first time here and was so disappointed. Got a cordon bleu sandwich; spouse had the naked chicken bowl. While there was certainly plenty of meat, it was tasteless. Completely bland. I took two bites and was done. My husband took a few bites and dumped in garbage. Maybe we should have tried wings or tenders. The twisted fries were delicious however.
