The Back Door

I LOVE THE POOL HALL THEY HAVE AT THE BACK DOOR! 🚪 I enjoy their food as well. I suggest getting the pretzel bites and their grilled chicken (Hot Chick) sandwich. It was DELICIOUS 😋 they close at 2am everyday. They have a nice closed in patio as well as an open space on the deck to smoke or sit outside to enjoy the weather. I love to go when Tatiana works because her spirit is so inviting to where I feel comfortable and I know I will be taken care of. If you have not been, I recommend going here. Be safe and enjoy!

Staff is always really nice, although they get really busy at night (of course bc they're a bar but still) they are able to keep up and if you're fairly a regular, they remember you making the experience a little more personal and comforting. But always need to be cautious when attending bars in general. The Back Door has 6 pool tables so plenty of room for some fun :)

I've been going to The Back Door for seriously over 30 years! Time changes a bunch of things but not them, heavy pours and great bar food! It's simply a Kentuckian right of passage.
Get the dry rubbed wings extra crispy with buffalo sauce on the side and thank me later.

Loved this cute dive bar!!! Had fun playing pool! Drinks were awesome...and so were the french fries! Great atmosphere! Definitely will return! Highly recommend!

Every time we come to Louisville we stop by the back door! Awesome staff and the food is absolutely amazing! Highly recommend the bombers - we order them every single time and have not been disappointed yet.

Food was great. Bartender was awesome. I asked if she could make a jalapeno margarita and she hooked me up. Ruben Sandwich was outta this world.

Since the passing of the owner John, it's been very hard to go back into the The Back Door. But eventually I did and the new staff is amazing. The wings are still the best in Louisville that's for sure. I still love the Backdoor and always will.

Could have used a 3rd bartender due to how busy it was during our visit. My hot wings were on par. 2nd time I've been here, satisfied both times. I rarely cross the river but will be here again to come to this gem of a hole in the wall.

*Best wings in Louisville*... a hidden gem for these chicken wings. Very chill atmosphere, little musty but overall totally worth the wait for these wings!!!

Stop by on a recommendation from our hotel...just passing through town. Seems like a local handout. Drinks were good and very reasonable price. Bartender was helpful. We order wings to go...wings were good!! Really wish we had more time to hang out. Seems like a fun play to spend some time.

Food is A+, from salads, wings, fresh soups of the day- don’t forget to special of the day!

You have to be 21 to enter but you will find the best boneless wings you’ve ever had. The special today was the pork and pineapple carnitas and they were also delicious! A must try.

Amazing bar food and huge portions! The nachos were served on a pizza tray! Couldn't even finish it between 5 people. The staff is friendly and there's billiards in the back. Definitely a great spot for a quick bite or hanging out with family and friends.

I've never had a bad time or experience here. The staff is great, drinks are well priced and the bar food is the best! You will not regret it!

Local hangout that's always a vibe known for their wings .....they are great! And those pepperjack cheese balls are life.

A 5 star dive bar for sure. This was our first time there and it won’t be our last. From the moment we walked in the door until we left the hospitality was an A+. The drinks were strong pour and the food was great. Rachel could tell we were new and did a great job taking care of us behind the bar. Shana did a great job checking up on us. You need a touch tunes….just saying.

Good drinks, good bar food, and fun atmosphere. Was not sure what to expect before walking in but was pleasantly surprised.
