Ball & Ball Trucking

I had an item shipped from Texas to Louisville by ABF Freight. They handed off
delivery of this 634lb. crate ( a smoker ) to Ball & Ball Trucking. I was initially concerned
due to several negative reviews, but my experience was fine !
When I was notified by ABF to contact Ball & Ball Trucking about delivery, I then called and spoke
to “Justin” to set up a date for delivery. He asked if I would be available the next day, and I said I would
be home, and preferred a time in the afternoon if possible. He replied that he would try to get my crate loaded on the truck first, so it would come off, last (making it in the afternoon).
Sure enough, I got a call early in the afternoon from the driver, “Bill”. who said he would be here in about an hour. Almost exactly an hour later, his lift gate truck was at the end of my driveway; he proceeded to off load
my crate and professionally maneuver it into my garage. He even adjusted it’s position at my request to
make my uncreating easier..Very friendly guy, and I was glad to give him a tip. All around very good experience !

Just got a door delivered by Ball and Ball trucking and Skyler did a great job! He was friendly and helpful with a very awkward double door standing up on a very large pallet. He even placed it in our garage. Great service and thanks so much for making a prompt delivery around the holidays!

Ordered a large waterfall kit from Texas. AVS handed it over to ball & ball. The delivery guy Bryce was great! Excellent service!! Thanks !!

We use Ball & Ball on a regular basis. Shipping TL's on days notice coming out of NKY, we can't get any better service than Rod and Tina have given! We're extremely happy with their service and would most definitely recommend!

I have to admit I was worried after reading the reviews, but I am totally satisfied with Ball and Ball Trucking today. They were professional, polite, and just great. From the dispatcher to the truck driver I have no complaints. Thank you from a satisfied customer!

I called on Friday when ABF transferred my treadmill to Ball & Ball. He was unsure when he could get it to me as he didn’t have much coming my way to group it up with. While I understand trying to group things up to save overhead, they were paid to deliver it regardless and I don’t like the fact that it was held for that reason. I’m a truck driver as well, so I do understand where their coming from. I agreed to give him till Wednesday, but since it was raining and he had something coming that direction the next day Thursday I said the next day would be fine. They delivered it when he said between 8-9am Thursday morning. Driver was friendly, and the dispatcher was friendly.

After reading these reviews I was very nervous and was doubting a good outcome. I did have to call ball & ball trucking dispatch center to figure out where my massage chair was after abf trucking passed it on to them. They told me they would call me Friday and no call. So Monday I called them to see what's up. Apparently the original driver had a death in the family that Friday and would be getting delivered Monday if they could find a driver. They said they would call me back in 5-10 mins. No call after 35mins. So I called them and they did inform me that they did indeed find a driver and it would be around 3 or 4 when he would show. The driver did call and notify he was 20mins out. He arrived bout the time he said. He was helpful in getting the chair inside which weighed 385 lbs. If I had money to tip the guy I would've. Giving it 4 stars cause I had to do the calling to figure out where my chair was and it wasn't for the driver being helpful and nice. I'd give it 3 stars.

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. All the way from the phone conversations to delivery.
I was told they would deliver my order to me if I gave a day notice. I received a call from the driver saying he was on his way, I asked who told him to deliver it today, he said he was told it needed to be delivered. My leg is broken and I just had surgery. My wife dealt with the driver who from the start was rude slamming boxes around then leaving the biggest box in my driveway.The driver said we weren't nice enough to him so he left it in the drive.
I complained to dispatch, they said I was deranged for calling so much. I cancelled my order and contacted my credit card. I could go on with more, but the bottom line is, if you are going to ship something, Don't use Ball and Ball

Had a delivery of kitchen cabinets handed off by ABF Freight to Ball & Ball. The RTA delivery instructions were extremely clear that you should not accept the delivery if not home and an appointment must be made prior to delivery. I called to schedule my delivery time after the products arrived in my city and they indicated they were already delivered to my home (on a rainy day) and left in the driveway with no one present to inspect and receive.

Driver called and stated he was on his way. After waiting over 2 hours I called their office and was told he was never on his way because his truck was too long

I had stated on the call with the driver that if he couldn’t fit around the building, there was a massive parking right out front and we have a forklift. The parking lot is around the size of 10 football fields

The driver even gave me an ETA

If I could choose no stars I would. I had a shipment that was handed off to Ball and Ball on 5/11 from Roadrunner Transportation. I called on 5/12 to see when I could expect my shipment. Nobody answered so I left a voicemail. I never heard anything back so I called back around 3:15PM and was told that my shipment was going to be delivered maybe Monday but more than likely Tuesday. I was also told that I could come to the terminal and pick up the shipment myself. I told them that I would need 1 hour advance notice to meet the truck at my business since I work another job about 40 minutes away. No call and no delivery on Monday, no call and no delivery on Tuesday. I did receive an email from my vendor on Tuesday that said they had been in contact with the trucking company and that my shipment would be delivered on Wednesday. I get a call Wednesday from the truck driver and he is sitting in front of my shop wanting to drop off the shipment. I told him that I was about 40 minutes away and that I was supposed to have an hour notice prior to delivery to meet the truck. He insisted that he leave the shipment in front of my shop unattended. I told him not to leave the shipment as I wanted to verify the condition of the shipment before it was left. The truck driver then hung up on me. I called the main office and let them know that I was on my way to the shop to meet the truck and I did not want the pallet left in front of my shop with nobody there and they said OK. Well, I got to the shop and there sat my pallet of guitars and basses on the sidewalk and no truck driver in sight.

I would not recommend using Ball and Ball trucking as their customer service and delivery queue times are horrible.

Our experience with Ball & Ball trucking was/is very poor. While their demeanor and our interaction with them was very polite, their inability to remove their trailer from our driveway, even after being notified it was blocking access, is unacceptable. We've waited over 10 days after notifying them that the trailer was ready for pickup.

I can appreciate that there are circumstances (in this case, drivers being out sick), but being able to resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction is paramount, in this case being well over a week, nearly two weeks, and still without resolution to the matter is justification enough for the one star rating.
