The Royale Food & Spirits

So very glad this gem was suggested to us by a local! And we were very lucky to hit a quieter time in the afternoon following a lovey Botanical Garden visit. Such a unique twist of offerings and most, if not vegetarian already, could be adjusted to vegan and GF choices. The food was excellent, the mocktails delicious! A gorgeous outdoor patio with a most artistic fire pit to enjoy the S’mores dessert. I will be back as I can’t wait to try another menu choice!

I've been here a couple times because it's right near my house, and I love it. The environment is very warm and welcoming and the menu has a surprising number of delicious vegetarian options! The cocktails are delicious as well.

We went to a happy hour for a friend who is leaving our workplace in a few days. The happy hour lasted for over three😄😄. The food we ordered was very good. MJ had brisket. I had a griddle burger. We were served by the owner, who was very nice. We ate outside. The weather was nice and music was playing. We will be going again.

Fantastic atmosphere. We sat out on the patio on a beautiful night. The cocktails were fantastic. The food hit to spot. It was busy so there was some waiting as it seemed a bit understaffed but everyone was friendly and helpful.

I had a fantastic experience at The Royale in Tower Grove, St. Louis, MO. This cozy neighborhood bar truly lives up to its reputation of serving great drinks/cocktails. How did I not know about this spot? While it may not be the largest establishment, it's the perfect spot to meet up with friends and locals.

What stood out to me the most was the beautiful courtyard. In good weather, it's a delightful escape for table service, providing a pleasant atmosphere for a meal or drinks. Even during the winter, the addition of fire pits allows you to enjoy the fresh air year-round. This combination of indoor and outdoor spaces makes The Royale a versatile and welcoming place to unwind and connect with others.

The drink options were impressive, and I particularly enjoyed the Manhattan. The staff was friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. I highly recommend The Royale for anyone looking for a cozy, neighborhood bar with a charming outdoor space.

Only two bartenders on staff and they held their own. Did wait some time, but considering the crowd. Bravo.

They welcomed our dog onto the patio and even prepared a water bowl for him, had fast and friendly service that went above and beyond expectations. Food was warm and delicious. Drinks are cold, refreshing and delicious. We got brisket tacos and royale blt

I came in on a Sunday afternoon. Had the burger, which was excellent. Plus, a watermelon salid, which was very good as well. Service was good, once they got to me as they were busy on my arrival

Small neighborhood bar with glass brick windows that provide great light and a cozy feel. Warm wood interior, good drink selection, very pleasant wait staff, and a small yet ambitious menu. The back patio is great in the Spring time! I tried the jackfruit tacos -- flavorful and spicy without being too hot. And the breaded catfish taco is tops. Nice place!

Famous for cocktails, but we went primarily for food, and because they require vaccination. The food menu is somewhat limited, with many vegan options, but the meat dishes we tried were excellent.

This visit we just shared an appetizer and had a cocktail. I was very busy Sunday evening.

I love everything about thus place. The drinks are beautiful, the patio is gorgeous. It can take a very long time (a VERY long time) to get a drink but that's because they get pretty busy and the beautifully crafted cocktails and mocktails are time consuming. Usually worth the wait if you have time. All of the stars.

I did a delivery for this restaurant and the owner appreciated it so much he treated me and my daughter to lunch and the Fish Tacos were amazing! Definitely will be going back for those and the service was awesome!

If you haven’t experienced this place, you’re missing out. The food is consistently good, and the service is great. Their cocktail and beer offerings are spot on. The courtyard is the one of the best in StL, and the interior of the restaurant offers local artists’ work as well as honors many from our past.

The Royale is a hidden gem in South City. Tucked away by itself, it boasts a nice patio with a small fountain and fire pit. The spinach dip it warm and thick, and the Cajun pot pie is hearty and filling. We also got the bacon apple flatbread, which was pretty good. Could have used some more sauce. Overall nice place with an original STL vibe.

What an awesome first time! Good atmosphere and delicious food. The staff are great - Alex is the best! Had the spinach and artichoke dip, fish tacos, and jerk chicken sandwich and loved all of it! Highly recommend.

Great place to relax. The patio is gorgeous and the fire pits are beautiful and perfect for St. Louis in the fall. Nice owner who who warmly greets his guests. Bartenders are wonderful mixologists and very down to earth and friendly. I can’t believe I have never been here, but I will definitely return. Wish I had come for dinner as I saw they have a chopped Brussels salad I can’t wait to try!

One of the best patio vibes in the city! Love what they did for Halloween. True class and full of love, delicious brisket tacos, and amazing drinks.

Great food. Excellent staff. Owners came and introduced themselves. Friendly neighborhood bar. Definately recommend fish tacos, artichoke dip and GRIDDLE BURGER.
