The fish and chips (cod) were above average for sure. All the food was really good. I'm not a hushpuppy expert, but good ones here. Very good service. Nice clean place. The prices are decent and it's just me but I mostly always ding a place for charging over $3 for a regular sized fountain pop. The waitress was nice enough to offer me a pop to go though.

First time coming here. It happened to be the first Friday of Lent so they were really busy and I can understand why. The wait for a table was surprisingly short. The food was excellent! Great prices too! Loved everything! Will be back!

Wow! Great service, good food at good prices. Lots of variety on the menu. No wait for a table. One of the few places that offers Rolled Oysters! The clam chowder is very good as well.

We got 2 different seafood platters and shared! Husband loved his scallops and oysters! I swooned over the crab cake, shrimp and classic! My husband has been eating there for over 40 years!! Fried green tomatoes!!!👍❤

White fish was was golden brown and not greasy at all, same thing for the onion rings. Really good onion rings. Husband had clams rolled oysters and both were really good. Service friendly and prompt.

The food is amazing! We had the fired pickles to start and they where tangy, crunchy and everything you want in a fried pickle. I also had the clam chowder and I wasn't very impressed, it had great flavor but was lacking in the clam department. For my main course I had one of the fried fish platters that consisted of fried snow fish, fried shrimp, fried clams and fried onions. It was amazing! Everything tasted different and not like a plate filled with fried food. You can really taste the freshness in the food. My boyfriend had the grilled shrimp and scallops, plump, buttery and juicy; It was grilled to perfection. All in all, definitely a place I will be back too. Bring the family you won't regret it.

Food and service was excellent. Quiet and peaceful. I had their " punch" and it came in the TALLEST GLASS ever-- plus the price was unbelievable and of course it was great! I might go back just for the punch : )

Sides tonight: tomato/zucchini, onion rings, clam chowder.

Yum.

Great Time! Was at the original in the 70's. Food wonderful. Real onion rings.

Had a waitress who did 110 effort. Look at meal picture. 15 - 20.00 per person with drink. Ignore Kingfish, come here.

Everything was delicious!! I haven't been in a long time. I was excited to be able to enjoy the same food I grew up on many years ago.

I love garlic butter shrimp but would have preferred that it wasn't on a skewer....it was dry....would have liked it in lots of garlic butter and soaked in it.

We go here sometimes because mybrother-in-law loves their seafood. I not a big seafood fan but I do like their fish & onion rings. This last time I decided to try their broiled fish. I really like whitefish broiled with lemon & butter. It was really good & I got lemon to squeeze over the fish. I liked this even more than the fried fish. It was delicious.

I have been to hungry pelican many times in the 1980s but have only been a few times recently as I live in Ohio. The white fish broiled or fried is consistently great. I had broiled fish covered in panko and Italian seasoning, it was delicious. I love the onion rings and green beans as sides. This location is a Fern Creek Kentucky legacy that keeps families coming back for each generation.

Hadn't eaten here for awhile. The only negative thing is they changed their Cole slaw. It's not as good as it used to be.

Very popular local chain. The food is good, the service is good and the prices are reasonable. For those interested in trivia, I met the original founder, who sold the business and started the local Homerun Burger chain.
