The owner of the shop, Zach, was the absolute best! My 5 year old talked his ear off the entire time and he was SO great engaging with him and making the experience fun for my son! It’s also the best haircut he’s probably ever received! We have already recommended Zach and his shop to a few people. We’ll be back in 3-4 weeks!

Due to cost issues and after having a terrible experience earlier, I had been cutting my own hair for the past 6 months but my wife isn’t around to help me with the back of my head so I had decided to give Hubbard Lane Barber Shop a try. The entire experience of having a haircut here was great. It was easy to make and reschedule an appointment, and Anthony was an experienced barber who did not complicate matters. I’m very happy with the results, and it was affordable too. I will be getting my next haircut here.

I went in for just a premium beard trim. My experience was stellar. The hot towel. The warm shaving cream. I walked out feeling like a whole new man. Do yourself a favor and go here.

My husband grew a beard for the first time following a 30 day hospital stay. Robert did a great job trimming my husband’s beard and cutting his hair evenly. Robert was very patient with my husband who is experiencing dementia. Very pleased with the service. Additionally, we were late due to holiday traffic, but we were still accommodated. Our first time at the shop, but we will be back!

Zach cut my 13 year old son’s hair and it is “the best haircut I’ve ever had!” He also chatted easily with him the whole time about sports and the holidays and put him at ease. Zach is his person from now on. We will definitely be back. Thanks!

Always a friendly and professional experience! The shop is super clean and updated and the cuts are exceptional! My 8 year old refuses to go anywhere else but to Zach he always give him the cut he wants and makes sure to style it. He never rushes and always make sure my son is comfortable

Been getting my hair cut by Zach for about 2 years now. By far the best Barber I have been. From the hair cut being the best to also the experience and him being very nice and great conversation while getting the cut. Couldn't recommend him enough and has some very affordable prices for a excellent cut that would be 2 times that somewhere else.

I was in search of a barber on Labor day, while most are close I was driving after visiting my dad and here I saw this sign that says “Open”. I turned real quick, but I needed a reservation. I made one and return for our appt. Zach was a good barber, he made sure that he interacted with my 10 year old son. He struck a conversation , and peaked my boys interests. The place is clean, bright and has a little fridge for water if you would like. I enjoyed this place because my son on our way back he said it’s the first time he hasn’t just sat and waited for his haircut to be done but instead he felt like he had made a connection. And he thought he is a great barber. So we will be back and make a reservation next time. Thank you Zach!

New owner Zach has done a great job bringing back to life this historic St Matthews location. Our kids love getting their haircuts here and we all leave looking good! Highly recommend!
