Dr. Shannon M. Mcallister, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Shannon Mcallister for 20 years. She is so personable and friendly and so is her nursing staff. If something needs removing she can do it right then, she doesn't make you come back later. I trust highly in her medical expertise and recommend her highly. She is professional and courteous and thorough.

Had a visit this week with Dr. Mcallister and have the same opinion as when I first visited years ago - she is a knowledgeable doctor, explains as she exams, offers available choices of treatment to patient, is friendly while very professional. The office staff from check-in to check-out was welcoming and helpful. I would recommend !

Dr McCallister excellent clinical skills but do not understand why seeing you on time is important
Office requests you show up 15 minutes early for an appointment.

No one in office says sorry running an hour behind
They offer to reschedule which is not good time management

My appointment 9:50 am and seen at 10:30 am

Previous appointment over hour late

No need to get their 15 minutes as they requested

Her nurse said she sees a doctor running 90 minutes and she said she understands doctors being late because she works she works in medical field

I said everyone time is important and it would helpful to look at how they are scheduling patients

My mother received a referral to doctor Mcallister, they took insurance information and didnt inform her that nothing was covered under her plan. Then she received a bill and was told we don't accept your insurance. When she asked why they didn't check to see if she was covered they gave a smart ass commit, "we don't do that sort of thing here"
Everywhere else in the world checks to see if insurance is covered.
Never do business with doctor Mcallister.

I am giving her one star because I am being charged for a FOLLOW UP VISIT !!!!!! To discuss the negative results of a biopsy. I insist : No new issues were addressed at this follow up visit, no new treatment plan were discussed. She just confirmed the results of the biopsy I had had the week before were normal.
BEWARE !!!!!!! I have sent a complaint to my health insurance.

I arrived at 12:45 for a 1 o'clock appointment. I was kept waiting for one hour. I find it rude and unacceptable for one to have such total disregard for another person's time.
