La Loma

Always good, a but pricier than I remember but overall a good experience. The food was good, I got a huachinango, tostada de pulpo, Taco de pastor, frozen mango margarita, and a cantarito. Looks like they are remodeling or adding to the restaurant, can't wait to see the finished product.

Delicious authentic Mexican. Can't remember what it was called, but it was steak, pork, chicken, cactus, shrimp, chorizo all grilled on a bed of grilled onions and scallions served with beans and rice. Fantastic. Service was a little lacking, but I suspect it was likely just a language barrier.

Always friendly and nice. My wife is from Southern California, and has had a hard time finding authentic Mexican in this area, this place is it! Our new fav, gotta try to Birria tacos!

Had a wonderful, relaxing dinner on the outdoor patio with friends. More food than we could eat & each authentic Mexican dish was as good as the next. I wouldn't go here if I was in a hurry, but with a "go with the flow" attitude, it is a nice "take your time" dining experience. You also can control the music outdoors with an app.

I love it, I love everything the food is Authentic Mexican food, Fast service everything is amazing I recommended 100%. This is my favorite place.

Each taco I had tasted like it's own individual of flavor and experience.

It felt like I was taking a different trip down to flavor town and experiencing the different cultures of taste with each taco.

I can see why this place is still around and looking forward to coming back again.

Steven was very attentive qnd friendly. Anything we needed, he was quick to get. Food was excellent. I had the soup and veggie plate. Kids had chicken tenders and lemon pepper chicken. Portions were plentiful, well worth the price.

Very good food and good service. Mojarra frita was delicious and the chuletas ahumadas as well. Chory dip was kind of runny but still good nonetheless.

Food was authentic Mexican and delicious! Shrimp enchiladas and sangria. Yummy. Def goin back

I had never heard of this place until yesterday, when my husband and I checked it out off the recommendation of his coworker.
I expected your standard Mexican fare, same stuff you get anywhere, and at first that is what it looks like.
I got a chicken Burrito Diablo- it had a very pleasant, surprising smoky sort of flavor to the sauce- SO much better than your standard place! I couldn't wait to take each next bite. I ate too much. My husband also greatly enjoyed his fajitas- we're definitely going to be back!
The one negative- the service is slow, so be patient. They are very friendly and helpful- the waitress had noticed my husband made sure there was no tomato with his fajita, so when he ordered a side of guacamole she made sure to let him know it was made with tomatoes.
A manager came and took our drink orders and let us know the sweet tea was being made and kept us updated on how long it would be. That was very considerate, so the wait was pretty painless.
If you love Mexican food, do yourself a favor and GO there.

Authentic Mexican cuisine in a family friendly restaurant. Salsa was homemade, chips were hot and fresh, overall food was outstanding! You will wait for your food but it is because it is being prepared hot and made to order. Well worth the wait! Service was impeccable as well. Our drinks never got below half and staff all had smiles.

The food is fantastic. The salsa is so full of flavor .drinks are strong.. The young ladies that wait tables and serve drinks are so beautiful. Such a great experience that i go back once a week..

Absolutely incredible food. Authentic and DELICIOUS!!!!! LOVE this place! We are now regulars!! The only problem you will have is wanting to order one of EVERYTHING!! My husband tries some new every time and I always order the tacos as well as a new dish amd we have NEVER been let down! So delicious and amazing! So happy we were referred here. Not enough room and words to describe how great it is!!

One of thee best Mexican 🌮 places in the city. The owner very cool guy. Great staff. Prices are perfect for portion size and quality of food. If you like spicy try Steak/or shrimp ranchero. Great fajitas, and nachos.

Friendly service, excellent tacos, will be back to try other options. I have posted the menu for all to see. Prices are very reasonable. I love authentic Mexican food when it is cooked right and this place has it right. Good job guys

New place for us.What took us so long? This place is outstanding! Real Mexican with wonderful flavors.Great drinks,too! The seafood soup I love was excellent .Service was very good.The owner was anxious to show us new items he is adding.

Great food and some more authentic recipes here. The salsa for their chips is a bit spicier than your typical Mexican restaurant, but it is delicious. The staff and management are fun to talk to, and they do an awesome job keeping the place looking good.

La Loma! Great food, atmosphere and service. We ate here as a party of 4 for dinner and we were very pleasantly surprised with the flavor and authenticity of the foods.
Their salsa is on point! We will definitely be back!

Great people. Great service. Great price for delicious food. The steak is so flavorful and just melts in mouth. Everything on their menu is delicious. I recommend this place. Everytime my husband and I go to La Loma we feel like it is home. It is so comfortable. There are many Mexican restaurants in Louisville but, this is the only one that i will go to.
