Bean Roastery and Cafe

I've never gotten food, but the drinks are always tasty. The front is very open and sunny, the back more private and cozy. Lots of tables and outlets to sit and stay awhile. Definitely a staple in the neighborhood!

Great local spot in the Schnitzelburg/Germantown area, right across from The Pearl. It's just the kind of hippie, not-corporate coffee shop I like minus the prices that usually come with it. My espresso was expertly pulled and delicious and my husband's drip coffee was just right. I didn't hang out there or eat any food, so I cannot speak to that part of the experience.

Today I learned that this little gem is right down the road from my favorite Kroger! Great coffee, fast and friendly staff. Sign on the door requiring masks. Quiet inside, with a cute and quirky atmosphere. Outdoor seating off the sidewalk as well. The menu gave great, helpful descriptions of drink options for us non-connoisseurs. Their cortado was delicious. I'll definitely be coming back to check out their food menu.

Yummy coffee, at the best price point! I definitely recommend stopping in. The drip coffee of the day was a lovely Nicaraguan.

The team at Bean is welcoming, responsive, respectful and considerate. Their treatment of the pandemic we are currently in has made me feel so safe, and I’m glad they’re taking measures to protect their employees and customers. Bravo, Bean Coffee! The atmosphere is great for studying or business meetings, I never feel rushed or unwanted, and the coffee is excellent. Thanks Bean!

Wonderful coffee shop in Germantown. They have a great vibe and good food/drinks. I love that they have good hours too! 7-7 everyday is very convenient. They also roast in house, and you can taste that quality in their espresso. I loved their mocha made with their house dark chocolate ganache - flavorful but not overly sweet.

Nice, cozy place. Lots of seating area. I loved sitting by the window where they have cute succulents. Lattes were pretty good! They have the syrups you could want, (like lavender which made me happy) and seasonal offerings. It’s also a nice progressive space which I really appreciate.

This is a beautiful little hole in the wall shop with a warm, open, and inviting lobby. The open layout provides tons of natural light, and the staff have always greeted me upon arrival with a smile. If you're looking for a new blend to try, I highly recommend giving the El Salvador a try.

Service can be a little slow but the food and drinks are always very well made with fresh ingredients. Staff is always very friendly and accommodates substitutions well. Well loved neighborhood establishment.

Excited to try my ground coffee from here! The Louisville Coffee Trail brought me here. The baristas were very helpful and friendly. They helped me pick out a coffee that best suited my preference. Will be back for sure.

Finally! A nice, cozy coffeehouse that doesn’t feel like a stuffy, shared workplace. The staff were all very friendly. The food and drinks my friend and I had exceeded expectations. Nice neighborhood place to catch up with friends or on your own.

Good coffee, onsite roaster. Great value. We have friends near by and have made sure to stop here while visiting. We look forward to coming back.

I enjoyed coming here for a cup of coffee. I tried some coconut drink that I cannot remember the name of here for the very first time and it was absolutely amazing. I recommend anyone that comes here to try the drink. The area is nice and clean and lots of seating it’s a nice open floor plan. The service was pretty quick. I will definitely be coming back here and I recommend anyone to come here for a cup of coffee.

Excellent little coffee shop right in the heart of Germantown and Schnitzelburg. Delicious coffee, quick and friendly customer service (they hustle!), and a bright, happy and eccentric atmosphere. Perfect little place.

Awesome place to get coffee/Tea, hang out with friends or get some work done! My #1 recommendation in Louisville right now. Especially if you want freshly roasted, local, properly brewed coffee.

They make one of the best mochas in town. Many places make theirs with so much chocolate sauce it's like your drinking straight Hershey's syrup. They don't do that here; you actually taste their wonderful coffee in the drink as well! Heaven in a cup!

Best roaster in town. The coffee isn’t too acidic, and is roasted to perfection. This is where you go in town to get beans especially if you prefer to grind yourself.

Love the atmosphere of this place and the customer service was great as well. This is a really good place for just hanging out or studying because of how peaceful it is. Lots of different things to choose from on the menu and if you’re looking for a healthier alternative to things this is a good place too.
