I have two kids who receive services with Theraplace & every chance I get I recommend them! The front staff has been amazing over the last 2+ years, Bonnie & Sharron especially. Always a smile on their face the minute my crazy kids and I walk in the door! lol Very helpful and understanding too.
My oldest sees Shannon for OT and she has been AMAZING! My son finds it very hard to connect with therapist but after time Shannon has become his close friend and safe place. She is wonderful at keeping me updated on how he is doing even though I am not the one who takes them to therapy sometimes. My middle child see's Kelsey for Speech and he loves going to speech. His progress has definitely started to get better since working with Kelsey.
I truly recommend Theraplace for all your therapy needs!😃

I took my foster son there over the summer last year for speech therapy. Candy was wonderful!! He progressed almost three years in just several months. She was great about challenging him and keeping him entertained and interested. We've been finished since August but I silently thank her all the time for the change its made in his life!

We have had nothing but a wonderful experience in the 1+ years that my daughter has been with them. Dr. Laura is very personable and my daughter looks forward to every session she gets with her.

If I could rate them with zero stars, I absolutely would. Like the other reviewers stated, it isn’t a clean facility despite being in the midst of a pandemic, they struggle with communication, and take months to schedule kids. Management is extremely slow to schedule evaluations and follow up with therapy assignments because they simply do not care and have an extremely high turnover rate. I too was told that it would take a week when my son’s evaluation was initially completed. I had to call repeatedly and they basically forgot to give me a phone call after several months. Most recently several of my son’s therapists have separated from this facility. They both gave their two week notice and none of the parents were ever notified by TheraPlace. Instead of initiating a dialogue regarding imminent changes to the therapeutic schedules within the next two weeks, because they can’t retain staff and are constantly understaffed, they chose to fire those therapists. Days passed as I awaited a phone call from TheraPlace informing me of the plan to address the vacancies. They never called to inform me of any imminent separation or immediate termination from the company. I’d been told directly by the therapist upon termination. The day before the next scheduled therapy session, I received a text from TheraPlace reminding me to attend. Assuming they’d found a replacement to cover said session, I called the on-site manager Bonnie to gain clarity and was told they actually don’t have coverage, they were too busy to call the parents and she hung up on. When I called back to formally establish that my son won’t be returning to avoid a no call/no show fee, I was spoken to very aggressively and poorly by the receptionist Rebecca who hung up on me as well refusing to allow me to speak with management. It’s my understanding that this insolence has become a common practice in handling the upset parents with displaced special needs children who require therapy. Based upon the unprofessional manner in which I was treated as a concerned parent, it’s been made patently obvious that TheraPlace does not care about the children they service and are only driven by money. They obviously believe that they can run a business without both staff and clientele which is ridiculous. My best advice is to save your money, peace of mind, and time by going elsewhere for your child’s therapeutic services. I do not recommend.

Very poorly managed, unprofessional, and S L O W. Late this summer, I went to the office to drop off the intake forms for my son to be seen for his SPD. The receptionist took my forms and said they would give me a call within a week to schedule him for occupational and speech therapies.
That was in AUGUST. I had contacted them several times since then and I just kept getting the runaround as to why they haven’t followed up - but still no answers and several unreturned phone calls.
I literally just received a voicemail YESTERDAY (DECEMBER 10th) saying that they’re ready to get my son scheduled for his evaluation. Mind you, we are now over four months since I dropped off my paperwork. My son was 2 years old at the time and in a crucial stage of development and really needed that guidance and therapy. I am so dissatisfied with this place.
If it takes them almost half a year to get back with me on scheduling something as simple as an eval, I’d hate to see how they can make any kind of progress with my son.
I seriously had high hopes for TheraPLACE, but they really dropped the ball on my son and I.

Poorly managed and not clean. It took me 2 months to get an initial apt. After visiting the office twice, many unreturned phone calls, delayed Facebook messages and emails the initial apt was finally scheduled. The 2nd session was cancelled after taking off work and sitting in the over crowded waiting area while no one notified me that my son's therapist wasn't in the office. The following week there was a flood and again no one notified me that the session was cancelled. I again took off work and found out the office was closed by a sign on the door when we arrived for the scheduled apt. Two weeks following I called to confirm our regularly scheduled apt and I was informed the therapist was no longer with Theraplace. No one called to inform me. The one session he had did not allow kids to jump in the ball pit due to rocks being in the ball pit. I will not be returning.
