Guestroom Records

Guestroom Records is my favorite local record shop. They have a nice selection. It’s clean and doesn’t smell weird (you know what I’m talking about!). I also love that they will order albums for you they don’t have in stock, which you can swing by and pick up when ready. The staff has been friendly every time I have visited.

Nice space with friendly, knowledgeable staff and an extensive, eclectic selection. Well organized, clean, well priced. Had a really well organized RSD event- well managed. We will make the extra drive to this record store over some others in the city where we previously did business.

Nice little store. Excellent selection and friendly staff. Nothing bad to say honestly. Also, most places have a mustiness but not here. Been here a few different times and enjoyed each trip.

Great place to go if you're looking for vinyl! I was very impressed with their post-punk offerings. Staff have been friendly every time I've come in. They've also been generous about returns--I bought a Mazzy Star album yesterday, got home and realized it was already in my partner's collection, and returned it today. They were very understanding and offered a no-hassle full return. Of course, I couldn't manage to leave without buying 2 more albums! They have a lot to offer--The Cure, Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees--as well as several other genres and new releases. I'll definitely be in from time to time to see what else they have in stock! Reasonable COVID policy, including social distancing.

I love this store. The selection is amazing, I always find gems. I love how they have the records organized by genre which makes it easy to find what you like. I would definitely recommend

Awesome selection of records and cassettes. Super cool and very helpful staff. The front window features free records and art for the best upcoming shows.
This is a great place to start if you're considering a record player. As an added bonus, you get a great discount on records when you buy a turntable.

I'm so happy this place is down the street from us. We recently added a turntable to our business and finding just the right albums a few at a time has been a minor obsession of mine. The team at Guestroom makes it fun and easy to go down that rabbit hole. Every time I visit they're so friendly and warm and helpful. Looking forward to my next visit.

Mostly new vinyl here, but you can certainly find some rarities. Amongst the best vinyl shops in Louisville!

They have friendly staff and the absolute best selection of records in Louisville. If they don't have what you're looking for, they can usually order it for you.

Extremely well curated shop full of MANY types of physical media and some collectibles. The staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable. A must visit!

All the local record stores in Louisville are great, but Guestroom has a special place in my heart. They get me almost every time I go in there with a vinyl I knew I wanted but didn't know I was looking for. Also, if you buy a record and it had a defect, (this happened to me with a Christmas present) they can exchange even without the receipt because they have some kind of magical tracking system. These cats are truly amazing and helpful. Also, check out their show posters window for the coolest bands playing in town. (-8

Travis was phenomenal with his excellent customer service! Held onto A couple albums that weren’t in stock. Said but as soon as they came in he would put them back for me. When the records came in Travis gave me a call so I went after work to picked them up. The store is clean, orderly, awesome service and very Health awareness to ensure everyone safety.

We had an issue with a defective record and they were very nice and easy going about it I will keep coming back for more records!

The best record store in Louisville! Go here all the time they have awesome staff, always get into some cool conversations, one of the few places that have a good metal section, trade values are more than fair. Amd they're always having awesome events!

Louisville is so fortunate to have this gem of a store. Not only do they carry all the new releases you could want, the staff is very knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. I always enjoy my trips to Guest Room. They also do a bang up job for Record Store Day.

Small space, but with quality inventory. Had a few hard to find vinyl box sets and cassettes I was trying to find. Friendly staff!

Great record store with an awesome selection of Metal! Picked up the mighty Tomb Mold's latest album and wish I had more time to skim what else they had for sale!
