Today was a very rough day. I struggled to get a new key made for anything less than $300 when mine broke and went flying. I called around for a bit getting all $300+ quotes before remembering I had AAA plus and they offer some sort of discount. AAA had tried to get me one of two dispatchers but it was late Friday and a struggle. They got me a quote from Cook’s Locksmith that was still $300+ but he was going to come tonight and fix it, and I was out of options. This was with my supposed discount. Lockdoctor called right when I had given up the search and was accepting my bad luck. They saved me $100 and got there within 10 minutes of the call. He got me a new fob for the key which was an issue to have on hand with everyone else I had spoke to today, even Chevrolet. He even gave me an extra key blade in case this happens again in the future. The man who came out to fix it (can’t remember his name) met me with a big smile and assured me it would get fixed in no time. 10/10 would recommend.

Quick and knowledgeable service! I called Lockdoctor to key a couple doors to my new house. The technician who made the service call was quick, courteous, and helpful. He was able to describe what kind of key the doors would need (they're older doors from the 1970s) and took care of everything in 30-40 minutes. He even sprayed lubricant into the front door handle/mechanism to loosen up the sticky parts. I highly recommend their services to anyone needing a locksmith!

After getting locked out of my house I called around to SEVERAL locksmiths to see who could quickly come out for a reasonable price. I either had someone want to charge over inflated prices or would not give a price until they came out to your home. I called the lockdoctor and he had the best prices in town. I was told Michael would come out in about an hour. Michael actually got to my home in 15 minutes and had my door unlocked shortly before I got back home. Thank you Michael! Only locksmith service I will use.

Michael came to my home to fix our VW Jetta. He was expedient, professional, and thorough. After the repair, the Jetta was showing a code for the power steering. Michael went back through his work, all the way down to removing the steering wheel (again), and ensured all was good. I cannot recommend Michael and their business enough to anyone facing issues with anything with a lock. 10 stars!!!!

This is my second time using Lock Doctor. They are fast and professional. I have had them copy and reprogram key fobs. They use factory keys and also work on home door locks and safes. This locally owned business is outstanding at customer service and has a cute, clean waiting area.

If you were locked out of your house or car they will come to the rescue in their company van and make a new key on the spot if you need it!

Had a pair of keys to a fire-safe that got banged up during some remodel work, the pros here were able to straighten out a bent key and crank out new copies in just a couple of minutes. Can't beat the speed, service, or price!

Locksoctor is the place to go for any type of key issue or copying. They are particularly good at copying car keys with chips. Stopped by the Lockdoctor on Taylorsville Road to have a key made for our 2017 Toyota rav 4. Michael was super helpful and friendly. The whole process took less then 1/2 hour. I had bought my own keys online 2 for $30. The dealer charge for 1 key was over $250. Lockdoctor's charge was $80. For 2 keys. Getting keys copied can be a hassel, the Lockdoctor may the experience easy and quick.

First... if you EVER NEED a locksmith in this area don't bother calling anyone else.. there is no point.. you won't find better people or service.. they went above and beyond what any " box store" locksmith would have done for me! just bought my new car left the dealer and stop in with my 10 year old at a book store to look at some books. When we finished went out to leave and my keys would not unlock the door I called the dealership but no luck 800 number with 0ver a 30+ minute wait time so I called the company that makes my car and they gave me the lock doctors number call them they got there in a flash fixed the door lock and contacted the car lot and the car lot payed for the repair and a new key fob to work the door...... thanks Mike you are great and your company is honest and up front about cost and what you can do. thanks I will use you always

It's a dark, rainy night. You've had a stressful day; all you want is the embrace of your warm, fluffy pillows and maybe a hot chocolate. But, in attempting to open your door, reality decides to gut-punch you worse than Justin Lucenic did in the 5th grade when you spilled grape juice on his Pokemon cards: the home inspector locked the wrong knob, preventing you from entering your domicile/dojo/happy place, dashing any hopes of guzzling that delicious cocoa ambrosia you so deserve.

Dear Reader, this is the nightmare I found myself in tonight. But do not weep for me, because after a short call to my realtor (riddled with various four-lettered expletives) I was given the phone number to my salvation.

The phone was picked up promptly, and a friendly voice tickled my eardrums, "Hello! Lock Doctor, how can we help?". The calm, kind confidence on the line was a much-needed assurance that almost instantly cured my case of the Grumpy-Grumps. I was told in 25 minutes my deliverance would come. I was skeptic: how could they get here with such haste? I'm in the middle of nowhere, so far from civilization that NASA litters my yard with rovers and probes (which is why I'm moving).
While waiting, I proceeded to partake in my favorite hobby inside my car: re-living every embarrassing thing I've ever done since childhood, including the many times I spilled grape juice on people.

To my surprise, Dear Reader, in 16 minutes and 26 seconds, an ethereal light illuminated my rear-view mirror, and a golden (or maybe it was green and white) chariot pulled into my driveway. A figure, silhouetted by the gleam of the van's headlights he arrived in, gallantly approached, and introduced himself "Hello, I'm Michael; heard you got locked out. I'm here to help!" but what I heard was: "Be not afraid, for behold, I bring your salvation through your lock's reckoning!"

I swear, this seraph of lockpicking floated (no doubt carried by angelic wings my mortal eyes could not comprehend) to my side door, immediately working some sort of magic spell involving slivers of metal and a drill-looking thingie. This divine deity of deadbolts deftly and diligently disarmed the doorknob while kindly carrying on a conversation with me. Concerned with me staying dry, he warmly gave me the option to wait in my car while he worked his wizardry on my home's postern.

In seconds, the portal to my home opened wide, and my eyes followed suit; I think I inadvertently squealed with joy in a way unbecoming of a 36 year old man. Sorry about that, Michael. I hurriedly shuffled into my home, hugging my favorite microwave with delight, and Michael collected his tablet from the van to settle my bill upon.

My dear reader, you know not true fear until your heart has been gripped with the realization that you owe a heavenly entity a debt; what could a mere mortal hope to offer a celestial being for the miracle performed for him? My eyes quickly darted around the room for something, ANYTHING, that I could burn as an effigy to the benevolent savior that stood before me. Just as I was about to lose hope, he informed me of the cost for coming out to my home and saving my sanity with quick, proficient work: a small sum of United States Dollars that I could give him through another magical spell called a "credit card". The cost was WAY cheaper than expected.

I profusely and repeatedly thanked Michael for coming out so latet; he made the mistake of mentioning that I could leave a review if I felt so inclined. (Something he's probably regretting if he's gotten this far into my review)

St. Michael bidded me a good evening, waving as he stepped out towards his van, leaving me standing in my kitchen, awe-struck at the ease and pleasant experience of having Lock Doctor rescuing me from what could have been a very unpleasant night.

So all in all, dude showed up super-quick, unlocked my door swiftly, had great customer service, and all at a reasonable price. 5 out of 5.

Now, Dear Reader, I am off to enjoy my evening. Shoot. I spilled hot chocolate on my keyboard.

I cannot emphasize enough how the staff at lock doctor go out of their way to be accommodating. I live out of town in Cincy and therefore logistics are a challenge for me when I'm in Louisville. The staff made an extraordinary effort to ensure they helped me out of a tough situation. I have had them make keys for 3 of my cars now as they are that good and the keys have worked flawlessly. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Lockdoctor was a breath of fresh air.

I was locked out of my car for almost 3 hours waiting for a different locksmith to call me back with no ETA. Desperate I looked up more emergency key services and came across Lockdoctor. They answered immediately and told me Michael would be there in 45 to help me out. Michael was there in 35 minutes, was very professional and kind. Had an issue with the lock on the front door of my business.
