This was our first visit to Iroquois Park for the Jack O'Lantern spectacular, and we had a blast. My 3-year-old absolutely loved all the different pumpkin carvings and lights. There was a bit of a wait to get in, but that is to be expected when attending something like this. Other than that everything else was great.

Hiking is breathtaking in this beautifully situated park. The outlook is most beautiful. I highly recommend going.

This visit was to the Jackolantern Spectacular, if you have never been then go next year. They dropped the price this year. You have to walk some but it's something to see all the pumpkins that they have and pumpkins everywhere. I go every year

I took the family here for the Jack-o-lantern Spectacular, which was great! For a Wednesday night, we bought our tickets online. The wait going on was 40 minutes, and it took about 45 minutes to go through the exhibit. The exhibits were amazing!

What a wonderful venue for a concert! We saw Gary Clark Jr. Acoustics were great and not a bad seat in the house. Lots of concession areas. Bathrooms were clean and lines, if any, moved quickly.

Love the Jack o lantern spectacular. We go every year. They have food trucks and vendors with warm drinks, they have extra bathrooms (porta-potties on the trail), and the carved pumpkins are amazing!

The pumpkin festival was amazing. The way they have it all laid out in themes is great. There is a bar at the beginning, so you can grab a drink.

First time enjoying this park. Came for the fun Jack o lantern event and I loved the creative jack o lanterns and the unique carvings and pumpkins. The themes were fun and I can't wait to see what next year brings. The wait wasn't long either. My party and I forgot to buy tickets online so we got tickets there quickly and went through the line before the event very quickly. There are bars and a food stalls while you wait as well. Overall very fun time.

Just to be clear when I go to this park I always start off from up the hilly road away from the busier base area to the scenic overlook and the central prairie and woodlands trails. This part of Iroquois Park is fantastic and seems to be getting even better recently too. In general it is quite scenic, spacious and compared to Cherokee Park in the Highlands noticably less used. I love that they tend to keep the gate to the hilltop road closed most of the time. It gives walkers, runners and bikers a wide paved space and miles of car-free paths to take. There tends to be a comfortable amount of room for everyone there unlike the main loop at Cherokee Park.
The wooded Red Trail now has improved signage and markers. I always enjoy the peace and lack of mountain biking on this trail. I actually only rarely run into other people on this trail through beautiful old growth woodlands. I don't have a dog but it seems like this whole part of the park would be a great place to take one.
The prairie trail near the Jacob Lodge at the summit is one of my favorite areas within Iroquois. There are several small ponds teeming with wildlife and a nice variety of flowers and plants to check out. It tends to be so peaceful and serene there I have a hard time believing I'm still in Louisville.
In general if you are looking for a peaceful scenic area to walk or work out in the city of Louisville without tons of other people and motor vehicles around this could be it. Everytime I've been here I leave feeling satisfied, recharged and grounded.

The splash pad is my kiddo's favorite. ❤
Bathrooms aren't the best but definitely better than other parks in the area. Dogs are welcome and I encourage yall to pet every one you see. The playground is great for playing with your kids and is safe for the whole family.

The parking at the park was ample and the access to the park was very easy. The trail maps help everyone to access different paths and the internet connectivity throughout was well connected, no where on the trail I had connectivity issues. I have been here during the Jacks a Lantern festival too and it did not disappoint, there was lot to watch and because of the pandemic there were less people than usual at the festival.

We walked the red trail around the park through the woods. The trail was clearly marked and free of debris. We were not in any hurry, so it took us a couple of hours to navigate the nearly 4 mile trail, which took us to the top by the lookout as well.

Went for the Christmas lights and was pleasantly surprised at the display. Preferred the Halloween display better. But there were a lot less people at the Christmas one which made it so much more enjoyable.

I have lived 5 miles from this park for years and finally just started going to walk. It has a very nice walking area. It is shaded and perfect for walking on these hot July days. Iroquois is my favorite park now.

Went to the Jack O'Lantern thing. Loved it. A little bit muddy on the night that I went but it was absolutely stunning and beautiful.

Best Park in town. Near city yet a natural old forest 🎄. Great view across city and into southern Indiana from lookout summit point. Natural meadow on top of central him area. Disk golf course, ball golf course, playground, amphitheatre show performance venue, easy and plenty of free parking. Hiking trails.
