Oscar's Crescent Hill Hardware

Oscar's is priceless in our neighborhood! The guys who work there are super helpful, and are true to being helpful from nuts to bolts. We support local businesses and it's a pleasure not having to walk Gods green acre as in some other hardware stores. You have parking, front and back, and once inside you have several handsome young men who will get you taken care of and swiftly on your way. Oh and don't forget to pick up your spring garden supplies! They have it all!

Great little hardware shop that has all the essentials and awesome prices! Super helpful staff and much better than "big brand" stores. The kind of place that takes you back to a better time, if you know what I mean. Definitely shop here first for all your DIY needs and small repairs.

I did not even have to ask for help. I must have had that lost puppy dog look on my face. The worker there was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. I have lived near here for almost 20 years and come in here occasionally and I'm always amazed at how much inventory they have in what looks like such a small place.

Oscar's Hardware in Crescent Hill is the BEST! I am clueless with most home fix-it things and they are always there offering non-judgemental aide. Knowledgeable customer service at it's best!

Despite the small appearance of the store, they do, in fact, have just about anything you could possibly need. I get my gardening supplies, bags of pet-safe ice melt, toilet repair things, "treats" for my feral rodents ...

Most recently, they helped me figure out how to replace my gas dryer exhaust tubing & external vent. I also got new screen to fix the lint screen on my ancient dryer.

Oscar's Hardware is a fantastic local shop. I have gone in there so many times, and the staff is always courteous and helpful. They have helped me with exactly what I need every time. I've never left disappointed.

Staff was very helpful. They have a full assortment of nuts and bolts. They helped me find a replacement for the OEM bolt to match one missing from a wheelchair.

They are the best. Most times I go in I don't know the name of items but I explain it and they always come through. It was really cute actually went in for something for my bathroom sink and like now I've forgotten the name of them but the lady approached me when I came in asking if she could help and I'm thinking we'll she's not going to know what I describe to her. Oh how wrong I was and I told her to. I apologized n told her for feeling the way i did and we got a laugh out of it but after that she went into detail on similar things I was asking about my bathroom sink n plumbing problems. She knew it all. I walked out learning something n feeling silly I doubted her. She's the best, they're all very friendly, down to earth, makes u feel very welcome like a big Ole family. So many times I though ugh I'm going to have to go to one of the big hardware and that's me second guessing them well I've never had too, they have always had whatever it is I need. I love Oscars hardware store I even bought some Lil paints to paint my new blank canvasses I just got for Christmas. Highly recommend to everybody for everything you may need. 🖤

Love these small hardware stores! Always seem to have just what ya need. Met at the door by an associate asking if he could help and he took me right to what I needed. Great place

We visited to get a vehicle key made without a hitch. The employees are very helpful and knowledgeable which is the main reason you go to a hardware store. There was another customer or two, but they took care of as quickly.

👍 you can take a part of something you're working on into the store and someone will take you to those parts and help select the new one And will offer tips or options if you ask. everything from plumbing parts paint and lawn equipment. VERY helpful. and you can get in and out in 10 minutes!! not so much candy tho.. ?!

Very helpful and great customer service

Everyone here is an expert in something. I came in with a plumbing question and left with exactly what I needed to solve the problem, plus they even suggested some additional equipment I might need in case the first fix didn't take. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and well stocked!

Very helpful staff! I get everything there if I can, and they often help me find what I need, even when I don't know exactly what I need myself.

In other hardware stores here, I've felt that I was a burden for just being in the store, but the staff here have always been positively nice to me.

We live close and this store has saved me countless drives across town for a screw, tape, or that last minute item to finish my project! It is going to be slightly more than the big stores, but you won't spend 30 minutes trying to find what you need either. My experience has been quick, helpful, and I have left happy. The UPS dropoff also a big plus for me!

Oscar's is filled with knowledgeable staff and plenty of the wares one wants in a neighborhood hardware. Its Frankfort Avenue (Crescent Hill) edition isn't as well-stocked as its Germantown store, but the service is just as good and the comfort level exactly what's needed at this kind of business.
