First and foremost, this hospital was the one. My mother has been taken care of since the second we entered this hospital. From the ER to being admitted, the service provided was phenomenal. The nurses and doctor in the ER were extremely communicative, made sure my mother and our family was informed every step of the way, and even stopped by to chat. This was indicative of the genuineness of the people that were providing the care. They made her laugh and comfortable. After being admitted to the hospital, the nurses, the doctors, they have the same demeanor. Extremely informative, genuine, and have not let my mom go without. Big props to the standard of care they provide. I can’t say enough about these people and this standard of care.

On Oct 17th 2023 around 12:30pm or so, we entered Jewish ER after walking out of a Norton's ER for lack of help. Jewish waiting room was full just as Nortons was across the street. I told the gentleman at the desk I though my husband had a stroke. Within minutes he was in a private triage area with three people. Then he was immediately taken back into the ER and and put on a bed in the hall. They didn't have a room in a private area for us but it didn't matter because they were paying attention to him. We knew he was safe there. From the bed in the hall they did blood work, urinalysis, xray, ekg, CT and ordered am MRI, which was all done within hours. He was admited later that day. The MRI proved he had had a mini stroke. We spent the next 3 days at Jewish where the care and staff was exemplary, from the lady who emptied our trash, to the people who took his vitals and every Dr and nurse we saw they were all friendly and attentive. I can't say enough about how organized Jewish was. If this had been more serious or if he had had a second stroke while at Nortons, I am not sure what the outcome would have been. You have to be your own advocate. Trust your instincts.

Friendly people and they keep you informed and up to date on things. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. I felt like I was in good hands while there.

My first visit at Jewish Hospital for surgery was as great as one can be. Friendliest Staff that I have encountered over the years. I knew that Dr. Williams was a wonderful doctor/surgeon, however, every staff member that I met was friendly and helpful. The Nurses and Doctors, male and female, were supportive and caring and made me feel comfortable and less nervous about my surgery. I am a picky person but I highly recommend Jewish Hospital!!

On Wednesday I was witness to a scene unfolding in a room in ICU… a Father, four daughters, a sister, three surgeons and me.
The spokesman for the surgical team was amazing. Even though the message he was delivering was the last thing anyone wanted to hear, he was informative and compassionate in assuring the family that their loved was not in any pain and that everything that could be done had been done but the out come was unchanged… machines were keeping Carolyn alive as her organs continued to fail.
My faith in Family was restored as I watched four grown women reach through their own heartbreak to console their Dad and reassure him that they would all get through this somehow… the last vestige of hope having just been laid aside.
The surgeon answered questions that came mostly from the Father as best he could - some questions just have no satisfactory answer.
Their faith in GOD was on all their tongues as they tried to reconcile what was just told them with what they believed. Somewhere in the back of their minds their worst fear had come to pass …. the one constant in their lives was not going to make it…
The Father somehow found the strength to thank the team for the monumental effort that they had made and the care that was given his wife.

I've had two recent visits to Jewish. While no one enjoys being there, I feel as if I was treated well. The entire staff on the third floor was nothing but courteous and kind for my week long stay. With that said, a few employees really stood out to my wife ( she stayed with me all the days and went home at night ) and I. They should be recognized for their outstanding efforts. This list would include Lan, Ana, Angela, Triniti and especially Dr. Sleen. It just seemed that these individuals went above and beyond while I was in their care. Thanks!

The nurses Anna and Jessica on 5 east were very good and gave my Grandma excellent care who has dementia and had overdosed on Lithium. My grandmother was mean to them and combative and they handled it very well. Jessica was very professional and did her job even when the other nurses were scared too. You should give these ladies a raise.

I am from the far away town of Hardinsburg. I had to be there at 5:30 AM so I had to leave Hardinsburg at 3 AM. I went to the registration desk and checked in and 20 minutes later she sent me to my check-in area and sent me to the wrong area of the hospital. When I got to the right place, there was a nurse waiting for me giving me that stern look like why weren’t you here earlier. that wasn’t a bad thing because they took me right in. The staff was wonderful and the facility was terrific. If I had one complaint, I would say please repeat the lines in the parking garage. Let me say this again, please repaint the lines in the parking garage.

My husband had surgery at Jewish and the Dr and staff there was amazing very attentive informative and caring. One particular lady that was at the desk in the waiting area was amazing I watched her constantly keeping people informed of there loved ones. She would give them updates whenever she would receive them. The board they had set up as well with the status of your loved one was so nice and took some of the stress and worry off waiting and wondering.

I had previously posted a frustrated and not so favorable review about the 7th floor but since then the issues have been corrected and the nurses very helpful, I know they work long hours and I don't expect any special treatment but the family's are stressed also, thank you to the staff and administration

My husband was a heart patient there. They let me stay in the room with him 24/7. The nursing staff was very well trained and helpful, the doctors excellent, everyone down to the cleaning staff and the valet parking people went out of their way to make sure I knew where I was going and offered help when needed. The food both in hospital room and at the cafeteria was very good. I have nothing bad to say about this hospital and thank everyone who helped us though this difficult time. His surgery needed to be postponed and will be in March 20015 I look forward to seeing friendly faces and know he and I will be treated well.

My mom was a patient here back in 2017. The doctors and nursing staff are terrific. They took great care of her. The patient food and the cafeteria food was pretty good. I stayed the night there many nights while she was there. They provided me with blankets, towels, washcloths, shampoo, and soap. I was allowed to take showers in her room.

My mom had hand surgery in the Outpatient Center. Our experience was excellent. From valet parking, registration, nurses doctors and the gentleman who showed me where the cafeteria was. Food was good too, We we’re traveling a long distance home and the nurse gave us pillows and blanket for the patient. I have been in health care for over 30 years and they got it right every time.

The nurses and assistants were amazing, special thanks to RN Josh, Laura, Jo, CNA Valerie, Amanda, Patient Experience and Lettie (whom I didn’t meet) Dr Kitchens, Podiatrist, for diligently removing calluses. You ladies and gentleman were fantastic and went out of your way to assist my mom. The nutrition and dietary team were fantastic. They really were genuinely happy to see my mom and ready to fulfill her every need, all the while never leaving without putting a smile on her face. Thanks to all the staff, my mom left, and ready for Rehab. Thanks 5 East for putting my mom first. I will definitely recommend Jewish to everyone. The level of care, professionalism, cleanliness and timely manner were over and beyond. If I could give 10 stars, I would!! Well done my faithful servants.
