I can’t say enough good things about my experience at Head First Media! Just finished recording my first audio book, Generation WE. I am not accustom to public speaking. Owner Jeff Hutchins guided me with such care and made the process not only enjoyable, but also produced a product I am very pleased with the outcome. Highly recommend!

After pursuing several attempts to record my memoir of local history, called, "Kiss Your Elbow - a Kentucky Memoir," a friend at Unity Church told me of an acquaintance of hers who recorded through "Head First Media." This woman was very pleased with her experience there! I pursued this lead and this friend was delighted to share her successful experience with Jeff Hutchins at Head First. I was immediately impressed because Jeff answered the phone himself, upon my first call. He agreed to give me a free interview. Jeff's personal voice is so pleasant that it is almost musical. He knows how to make his clients voice sound almost as good as his! That is his expertise! Jeff gave me so much help and showed me so much patience in our work as we recorded, "Kiss Your Elbow - A Kentucky Memoir," that I went ahead and recorded my other two books with him: "Changing the Sheets and Opening a New Window." Not only does Jeff do a beautiful audio job with one's material, he also helps with marketing ideas. Jeff is an amazingly patient person who also very patiently helped me with many tangles in my own computer work, in order to market my books. I highly recommend Jeff Hutchins of "Head First Media" for any type of media work! You will be pleased!

I can't imagine recording my audiobook with anyone different than Head First Media. The studio is world-class. Jeff is patient and provides great insights to make your audiobook the best it can be. You will want someone with his level of detail and experience helping you. It's one of the best strategic business decisions I've made in my business. I've recorded two audiobooks with Head First Media and about to record my third. I can't recommend Head First Media enough.

I called several studios around town before choosing one to record my books. While everyone I talked to was willing to give me information about their services and rates, Jeff Hutchins at Head First Media was the only one who asked what my books were about and who seemed genuinely interested in my project.
Jeff is easy to work with. While his expertise is impressive, he made it easy for this "technologically challenged" author to do my part. Jeff is a director as well as a producer. I got some helpful input from him, and we often went back and re-recorded parts he thought I could do better. His aim is to put out an excellent product, even if it means working extra hours to get it. (This impressed me, because Head First charges by the length of the finished product, not the number of hours in the studio.)
When the recording was done, Jeff walked me through the process of getting each audiobook released, something I never could have done on my own.
I'm truly thrilled with the two audiobooks we've produced at Head First, and I'm very much looking forward to recording the final book in my trilogy.

Head First Media took care of the audio recording for my audiobook, 'Resilience Ready: The Leader's Guide to Thriving Through Unrelenting Crises'. Jeff Hutchins was the technician that I worked with directly. They did an outstanding job of coordinating the details for the recording and preparing me well so that we would end up with a high quality product. Went to Head First Media and recorded a project allowing my kids to display their talents. Mr.Dez engineered and directed my song to a more universal professional sound. He encouraged and enhanced my general idea, he dealt with two 14 year old kids, a 4 year old, and a very active 1 year old. The track is just professional and the experience Mr.Dez provided has been second to none, really First Class and a World Renowned Experience! The atmosphere was none pressured, very clean, peaceful, the space allows creativity to flow and vibing with a producer that is musically inclined and talented to this extent of all genres and knows history you can be the best within yourself easily. Mark your calendars by June 2024 most of you will either be done heard or heard on your own about this project that was created at Head First Media with Mr.Dez! Wonderful staff I will be back for my upcoming projects as well! Thank you all so much!!!

Where do I start with this place?!

I’ve personally been going to Head First Media for about 5 years now and can’t be more impressed with the high level of recording quality, customer service, and professional atmosphere that the entire team maintains.

I’m a local artist here in the city of Louisville and have been to my fair share of recording studios both here and abroad. Without any biases I can genuinely say that this is THE best studio I’ve ever been too. It’s more than just a studio, it’s a place where the engineers apply their expertise beyond the technicalities. They provide professional guidance and tips to help artists develop sounds of their own which is a vital component in musical success in any genre or industry.

I have most experience with Rob “Saint” Calloway. He emphasizes his technical expertise in melodically driven Hip-Hop and R&B, which is my vibe. He’s polished me and helped me find myself as an artist over my 5 years of experience, which brings value well beyond the pricing of the studio time and experience.

All in all, I highly recommend anyone that is serious about their music, audio production, or sound quality for multimedia projects as whole to book a session with any of their professionals!
