I shared lunch with 2 girl friends on a drizzly Saturday in March. They had never eaten here before- it was a treat to watch them enjoy the Rice Hot Pots for the first time. I never order any other entree' when I come to Lemongrass, although next time I'm going to order the Crispy Duck.
We started with 3 appetizers: Butter Chicken Wings, Vegetarian Summer Rolls and Crab Rangoon. All were fresh and very delicious. For entrees, we ordered the Chicken, Shrimp and Special Rice Hot Pots. We had just the right amount of time to eat our appetizers, then the pots arrived- the rice was simmering and crackling in the cast iron pots. Meat and veg served in a delicious brown sauce over crunchy rice. Our waiter was very friendly sharing his favorites. We had leftovers which I will enjoy for lunch today.
It's fun to impress your friends with great food and a nice atmosphere. My friends are already planning another visit- they loved Lemongrass! I'm always a fan.

Don’t let the assertive server scare you! He’s super efficient and pays attention to your table needs. The food is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the hot pot. Rice at the bottom is perfectly crisped. Plenty of meat and veggies on top. Curry lamb was tasty as well. Go in here with the expectation that the food is good.
And the lobsters on the walls have glowing eyes.

My husband and I really enjoyed coming here. Right after Sunday morning church we went for lunch there was no wait time and the food came out in quality time.

We ordered the hot pot with crunchy rice and a plate of hot braised chicken. Absolutely delicious. We would love to come back.

The food is always amazing. Great flavors and so many things to choose from (it is an extensive menu). I personally like the vermicelli noodle dishes with an eggroll but you can't go wrong with anything. The eggrolls and/or spring rolls are a must. As is a Vietnamese coffee. Don't be scared of the owner. Yes the other reviews are true. It's part of the experience; roll with it and enjoy it for what it is.

Food was very tasty. The surley owner and his total look of disappointment when my wife asked to leave out the chicken from the delicious pancake. You could see the wheels of his mind turning then stopping then turning again was priceless.

The food was fantastic! Wait time was minimal, and the restaurant was clean. The server was efficient, attentive, and direct- he will get you what you need without any small talk. If you are looking for great food, this is the place to go.

They food here is very delicious, and the owner is a very nice guy, friendly, and professional. I don't know why people say he isn't, but from all of my experience here I really like the place and the vibe 5 stars! I always get the P4= special pork chop over rice, and the C1.

Everyone is posting about the service, but I don’t go to places to have small talk with staff. I want good, quality food and this place delivers. The Pho is awesome and is worth the drive for me. Service was outstanding for me…every time I need a refill I got it and I got my food fast. I will be coming here again.

A vegetarian’s delight. One of the things I miss most about eating Asian cuisine as a vegetarian is that gooey sauce and crunchy texture found on something like sesame chicken, but the sesame tofu at LemonGrass located on South Grand gives you exactly that. A crispy tofu served in a delicious sauce that leaves you feeling like you can’t wait to come back. Also the vegetarian spring rolls are a great starter option!

The restaurant is clean, prices are great! The service was good, the appetizers took about 15 minutes. Portions were large.

I don’t know why people are so harsh about the service! The guy was direct but not rude at all. And the food was absolutely delicious! So fresh tasting! And they have great vegetarian and gluten free options! Highly recommend!

We agree that the food was amazing! The server indeed was abrupt. We felt a “soup nazi” vibe but enjoyed it anyway because of the food and company.

Life changing Hot Pot! This is not something to miss. We had the beef and tofu, both were excellent!!

Coming back to this restaurant after many years, the food is as delicious as it always was. The highlight of our meal was the crispy rice hotpot and “banh xeo”. Seeing all the negative reviews on service, I was initial hesitant to come in but all was ok when the service was quite decent. This will be our must-go place every time we visit STL. I highly recommend this place for authentic, fresh, and yummy Vietnamese food.

Spring rolls and lemongrass shrimp were terrific. Don't forget to add some of their sauces and spices. It's got a quiet atmosphere and the food was brought out in a timely manner. Can't wait to try more dishes!

I'll be direct: the server is kind of rude. But I didn't even care because the food was so delicious!! We went with 5 adults and 2 toddlers and the server shorted us a couple of plates and silverware, so we had to ask for those. He also just dropped off all the water glasses and plates at the end of the table, so we had to divvy those up ourselves. But it was worth it when we received our appetizers, and meals. Pho, shaking beef, a beef bowl with an egg roll, an egg crepe... Just try anything on the menu that looks good to you. It probably will be excellent!

Live for pho! This is the best place in the Stl. Taste like my god family in Vietnam OSS in that kitchen. I love it!
