I have been a patient of Dr. Jo Ellen for a few years now. She is amazing, took care of all my dental needs. What I love about her is that she guided me step by step and always gave me the right advice as how to proceed with whatever needed to be done. She is also very kind person. Overall all the staff are super cool and will treat you the right way. Thank you Gerlach Dentistry!!

As a family, we have been going to Gerlach for over 20 years. Have always had pleasant experiences and they have always been accommodating when needing to be seen for emergency issues.

I visited the Woodlawn office for a cleaning and intermittent tooth pain, after being referred to them by one of my friends. The receptionist, who I spoke with on the phone, was very friendly and listened as I explained the location of the pain that I was experiencing. I made an appointment and was greeted with a warm and professional receptionist when I arrived. The cleaning by the hygienist was painless, even though I have sensitive teeth. She did a great job! The assistant x-rayed the area of my tooth pain and when the speaking to the Dentist, he found a small cavity in my tooth. He was extremely professional and he gave me the option to fill the tooth at that point, or, I could think about it and schedule a future appointment. He did not pressure me into a decision, which I really appreciated. I opted to have the tooth filled at that visit and he did a superb job. I had never had such a stress-free and pain-free experience at a dentist! I even received a call back from their staff a few days later asking me how I was doing and thanking me for choosing to come to their Woodlawn office. I would highly recommend Gerlach Family Dentistry!

I have been shadowing as a dental assistant at both locations and am also a patient. I am incredibly impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of the doctors and the staff. The patients are consistently commenting on the kind chair side manner and how much they appreciate procedure explanation. I have also noticed that appointments always seem to run on time. Many of my family and friends are now patients of Gerlach Family Dentistry!

GREAT PLACE! The girls at the front desk are very friendly. The hygienist are very personable and make you feel very comfortable during the cleaning experience. Great building and very clean environment. The dentist is very friendly and very professional and makes sure you leave with what you need and what you need to know about your teeth! Best dentist in the east and south end!

I Love this Dental Office. All Staff are very friendly and welcoming to all. Dr Chip and Joellen Give Top notch dental care. So Proficient I wouldn’t dare go anywhere else. This dentist office have definitely changed my outlook on the dentist.

First of all let me say I am a total dentalphob!!! I was so scared 😨 , the girls at reception were so nice and welcoming. Dr. Chip, really a great dentist. He took care of my problem, and it was painless!!!! Will never go anywhere else! Thank You so much!!

It was the best experience I've had in 51 years I got a feeling exams ready to get crown the next day very professional excellent service staff great people they are totally awesome thank you I'm so happy

Please do not use These people. I was a long time customer, and recently they found a way to charge me over double what they quoted me. Due to a glitch in my insurance that I do not understand, because I do not work in the field, the quote that their receptionist gave me verbally was over doubled after I done the work. I trusted them to help guide me in the right direction on what decision to make, and they completely took advantage of me. They quoted me $2800 for crowns and after I had to work done and pay the $2800 cash, they told me I still hold another $2400. After I grabbed enough, they dropped it down to 1400. All I want to say is I trusted these people to help me make the right decision, and they completely took advantage of me due to me not understanding how insurance works

I thought at first that they were going to be great but it quickly turned into a waste of time I scheduled 1 appointment and they called me back shortly after to tell me they can't see me due to no shows but yet I only made 1 appointment. They are a joke and they chose who they want to see based off how much they can over charge your insurance.
Very unprofessional staff and very inconsiderate.
You would think that a dentist that gets little business wouldn't turn someone away for no reason.
Before I made my appointment my boyfriend had one for tooth pain and he was seen and they pulled the tooth and gave no antibiotic or ibuprofen and didn't care much about how he felt after. He had several bone shards coming threw his gums for 3 weeks after the tooth was pulled. Ill never recommend this place to anyone. They are as bad as the neighborhood they are in. If you choose this place I hope you have a different outcome.

The receptionist that sets appointments is beyond rude. She repeatedly put me on extended holds and when returning asked the same info several times. I been going there for almost 5-6 years and don't think I'll be going back. I will not be returning just because she would not let me speak to the manager and she told me next spot was in two weeks when they are never business!!!!
