Saturday morning, you can smell Butchertown down the street... you walk up to this adorable building, you rush in.... the smells of Heaven hit you in the face 😍 You've arrived! You look to the left at the beautiful stone photo (I'm obsessed with it), you look forward and see a couple of people standing in line and a couple to the side. You walk to the line and see the fresh pastries all around, even handmade dog/cat treats! The menu is large and readable, hanging above the register. You decide you would like a flavored bagel with cream cheese, give your name, and you pay cash (also giving a little to the tip jar because you're a decent human ♡) You stand to the side with the excited others waiting for their treat bags. The music is a song from your childhood and you're humming along, nodding your head when suddenly "*YOUR NAME*" is called out!!! Here we go! Time to see if your friend who told you to go here was right...you find a seat in front of the rock picture (it's my review lol). You unwrap the bagel OH THEY RESPECTED THE SHMEARRRRRRRR!!!! Herb cream cheese is healthily packed between the tomato basil slices, you take a bite. This really is Heaven! You've needed this day for so so so so so long! Other shops just don't get it, they don't have the flavor! Tears begin streaming down your cheeks, blessed be! The Angels begin singing, there's a bright light that comes from the ceiling and washes over your body. You've been blessed by the Bagel God 😍👏 You found your new spot! You feel the best you've felt since before the Pandemic, you want to write an amazing review....no...you NEED to write an amazing review! You go to thank your friend, they were right! They were there for you through the other store experiences...they understand your pain 🫂

Have passed this many times and finally stopped in. I love that they have so many options for food. I ended up with chorizo tacos and an oatmeal creme pie both delicious. I spent about $18 after tip and did not get coffee.

Loved their playlist. The wifi kept going in and out, so maybe not the best place for computer work. More for friend meet ups and chats

A cozy local bake shop full of delicious breads bagels and sandwiches. Very lovely, will be going again.

Great food. Fresh bagels are terrific! The service is exceptional and you're going to enjoy the drink menu. Not much seating but the outside seating is enjoyable.

I got the "Hammer" breakfast sandwich with a fried egg on an everything bagel. It had jalapeño cream cheese and was absolutely delicious. The staff is extremely friendly and the water is infused with fruit! Can't wait to try more items on the menu.

Hands down the best bake house in Louisville!! Love their food, coffee, atmosphere. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The owner is incredible, very quick to answer questions and jump in when needed. You can tell they really take pride in their work. I got my mom a bagel and coffee for her birthday breakfast and she said it was the best bagel she’s ever had (and she’s from NY!). Will definitely be going back 😊

Literally the best bagel I’ve ever had with the biggest serving of cream cheese ever! I came here to work on my dissertation and I’m always looking for a place with great atmosphere and food. They have limited seating but it wasn’t filled. People seem to mostly come in to get stuff to go. They have decaf espresso, which is a must-have for me, and sooo many sandwiches/wraps and sweet snacks; it’s perfect for writing! Their prices are very fair especially considering they make everything fresh at the store! I will absolutely be coming back! 10/10!

The best bagels! Awesome atmosphere with friendly staff and delicious baked goods and coffee. We have loved everything we have ever gotten here. Also dog friendly, their staff came out and brought our dogs waters and pup cups with bacon on them, so sweet:)

I’ve been going here for breakfast at least once or twice a month the past couple years. This past visit I got two sausage biscuits which were great. They have amazing bagel sandwiches. The bacon egg and cheese bagel on an everything bagel is the bomb. Great coffee! Check this place out!

Delightful bakery with very good bagels and scones. We stopped in for breakfast last week. Bagels were excellent. I adore a good pumpernickel and these lived up to my hopes!
I picked up scones for the following morning as we needed an early meal and they held up nicely. Would definitely return here next time I am in town visiting family! Services was quick and young man at counter very friendly and pleasant.

Nice little shop. Bagels were fabulous, toasted crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside ❤. The employees lacked personality in their customer service but with 6 people in front of us, our order came accurately and quickly. Ambiance was clean and quaint. Small, not many tables. Overall, I would be back👍

The absolute best bagels and cream cheese I’ve ever had. There’s a wide variety of bagels to choose from with what feels like an unlimited amount of options on what to put on said bagels.

My favorite things here are: everything bagel with herb cream cheese, spicy turkey and cheese on a pumpernickel bagel, egg bacon and cheese on a variety of bagels, pimento cheese and a fried egg on a variety of bagels, and the banana bar.

You can’t go wrong with this place! Nancy’s bagels used to be sold at Quills years ago and is the reason I love bagels. This place is the same as Nancy’s.

I met a friend here for brunch and it was delicious! We did go on the weekend so it was slammed & I would recommend ensuring you have plenty of time to enjoy/wait, but we were in no rush. The spinach club wrap was delicious and their bagels are pretty top notch!😉

I got the salmon fillet lox sandwich in the tomatoes and herb bagel..it was amazing. Do yummy. My husband had the roast beef on the same kind of bagel and it was so good.

Stopped in for coffee and a breakfast burrito. Looks like it's now called Payne Street Bake House. I've never been to the Nancy's Bagels on Frankfort Avenue so I have no comparison as previous reviewers did. I tried The Valiant which was very good and came with three different salsas which were all excellent. Coffee was good too. Store was very clean, nice atmosphere and friendly service. Highly recommend.

Delicious bagels. I had the Sesame Bagels with Honey Walnut Cream Cheese. The Soy Milk Mocha is a gem. Contactless service. The process to order and get the bagels is simple and you get the replied to your text quickly. Highly recommended and would definitely be back.

I LOVE NANCY'S BAGELS. I always thought of myself as a bagel lover. What kind of monster doesn't chow down on a huge hunk of carbs? Count me in. Nancy's everything bagel changed.the.game. I've only strayed once (Rosemary and Parmesan) and I was disappointed - in myself for not getting the everything bagel. They also do pretty darn good hot and cold drinks.
