Excellent coffee, great space for meetings or studying

This is probably the best coffee shop I've been to and definitely my favorite. It's close to campus and has a great multifaceted environment for me - whether that's running off as fast as possible with a fresh mocha or deciding to stay and read for hours whilst enjoying a V60 pour over. :-)
Love this spot!

I've been going to Quill's around every couple weeks for five years now. I love the atmosphere; always full of working and chatting students enjoying their downtime. The coffee is wonderful as well as their local snacks and pastries (many of which are provided by Please & Thank You). Everyone working there is always incredibly kind and chill. Recently, their payment system wasn't working so they gave everyone their much needed coffee and food and said we could get them back later - they reinforce our faith in humanity.

I visited Quills Coffee for the first time this past Friday afternoon. I was there around 1:45 pm. And was surprised at first when I saw how many customers were there at that time. But I understood very quickly that most if not all of the people there were regulars who knew about the excellent service that is given there. It was amazing how fast I got my order from beginning to end. And the coffee was of the utmost quality. Quills Coffee is definitely worth giving a visit. You won't be disappointed.

I walk past a national chain every time I come here; I love supporting a local shop where the flavors are better anyway! Iced cold brew, plain black drip, and the mochas have all been excellent. The staff is friendly and there is never a long wait that I've seen.

Very nice coffee. I like it much better than Starbucks. The service is fantastic and very friendly. Great place to study if you're ever on campus and the library is full!

Such a nice coffee shop. Located in the University of Louisville area, this spot is clean and spacious. The coffee is good - I ordered a cold brew, which was strpng but smooth. I also ordered kombucha - they carry the local "Elixir" brand. The wifi works well, amd I was able to attend 2 videoconference meetings easily. Also, close enough tk the airport to quickly ride over.

I've never had a bad experience. It has a very nice atmosphere with an outside coffee/eating area, the baristas are always awesome and friendly, the coffee and the food are always fresh and great-tasting, the place is always clean; nothing to complain about.

Always a perfect cup with delightful service. Top notch beans. Steadfast in ability to lighten my mood and cheer my soul after work phone conferences drone on when research is bogged down. Quills I salute you and owls.

Definitely a friendly coffee shop. While reaching over to assist a younger sibling, I accidentally knocked over my own espresso shot, nearly splattering the manager's MacBook. Before I had a chance to even grab a paper towel, the manager was on top of the spill with a wet rag, cleaning up a mess I should have rightfully cleaned up myself. To top it off, the barista pulled a second shot free of charge to replace the nearly-full one I spilled, all before I had a chance to lift a finger to undo my mess. I had done nothing to place myself on their good side, and yet the staff treated me well regardless. I couldn't help but leave a friendly review in return.

I ordered the iced bourbon latte and it was really good. The atmosphere is chill and the guys working the counter are very friendly. It takes a while to get your drink, but it’s worth it.

Clean place, friendly staff. I came for the hemp kombucha but they were sold out. Still they made me a great Carmel latte definitely will be back.

A quiet atmosphere, Quills is among the best coffee shops in Louisville. There is free wifi, tables to sit and study at (very popular for students) and the line is usually very short.

This is some of the best coffee in the city. You can customize not only the beans, but also the brewing method. For a caffeine junky, it's a little slice of heaven!

Coffee is the best you'll get in the area, while still being lower priced than Starbucks offerings, staff are very courteous and respectful -- the exact opposite of the area Starbucks.
