These doctors are absolutely fantastic with my non verbal autistic son, so many dentists turned us away and said they couldn't handle my son. These guy never turned us down or made my son feel bad. Thank you for your amazing service and for treating my baby so well and making sure he gets good dental care. Highly recommend these guys

my experience with the staff was the best, I was also very surprised to meet a Latin nurse her name is Judith Marrero she was kind, professional and very sweet with my daughter, she made her feel comfortable, I can recommend this clinic 100% and for Of course I will reschedule a new appointment.

Best dentist I've ever taken my kids too. They love this place. Staff is absolutely wonderful with the kids, very knowledgeable and professional. Tina and Dr Martinez are our favorites. So grateful for this place. Wouldn't want to take my kids anywhere else.

My three year old's pediatrician is here. The entire staff is super sweet and shows genuine interest in your child. The place is always clean, and they have plenty of toys and books around to keep your wild one tamed until it's time to see the doctor.

Great experience with Toddler. Went here based on pediatrician's recommendation and not disappointed. The entire staff was cheerful and professional and great with my baby on her 1st dental appointment.

I have been taking my kids to U of L pedi for 12 years, I went to this doctor when I was a child. The Eastern Parkway location is very clean and the wait time is not long at all. 4 stars, only because they switched the doctors around a lot.

The dentist Miriam Shaheen was rude and unprofessional, but the dental hygienist was wonderful and so was the front desk. The dentist herself shook her head the whole time she’s looking in my daughters mouth and then has the nerve to look at me and say “why she not go to the dentist”?? I’m like excuse me she goes to the dentist that’s how we got a referral to begin with but when it takes 5-6 months to get in somewhere and god forbid you have to reschedule that’s another 5 months, and this place did nothing but give me another referral to wait another 4 months, been to 3 dentists for referrals with no actual work being done, but somehow that’s not the issue. The belittling and shaming is why people don’t go to the dentist!

Dr. Miram Shaheen was very forceful and demanding with my 5 year old Neurodivergent son. She made us feel extremely uncomfortable and shameful for his inability to do what she wanted. I would never have her see my son again. While the tech before her was kind and patient the Dr here is very rude. This office is not equipped for children with sensitivities and we left here feeling judged and defeated and anxious. This was an overall terrible experience for us and we decided to end our care with this office. If you have a child with special needs try Theo Pediatric Dentistry instead!

So we loved the dentist my daughter seen he was very concerned and even offered a possible cause of the problems she's having but I've called this office so many times with no answer. I've left multiple voice-mail and no call back. My daughter has had quite a bit of tooth pain lately so I called again and still no response. Is the phone number on Google right? Is there another number I can use to get in contact with someone to schedule an appointment?

Not a good experience with my son. He was schedule to get one of his caps on his tooth replace. Since his appointment was two months away two more of his caps fell off. I called the Dentistry office to inform his dentist and to get more information on his procedure that was schedule in April. No one ever returned my call. So finally i called the third time and the lady went over the procedure with me regarding the drug they would use during his procedure and she guaranteed me that the dentist would know about his other two caps falling off.
The day of his appointment the Dentist knew nothing about his other two caps falling off.
We went to his appointment thinking he was going to get his caps replaced and left with his teeth being pulled. Horrible Experience for me and my son.
Terrible communication, with this Dentistry. Not happy at all
Why bother calling me after the procedure to check on my son when no one bothered to call me before his procedure?

My son was referred here because he has Autism. He was seen July 2018. I was told he would have to be put to sleep for a fill in. It's January 2020 and I haven't heard a thing from this dentistry or UofL Hospital where they do the procedure. I call all the time and the rep says the same thing. I'll have the doctor contact you. If you ask can you speak to someone other than her you get put on hold and nothing. I was told that I would have to fight for any services my son needed and they were right!

I took my 3 year old SPD/developmentally delayed grandson for a school screening. At the time of made the appointment, I was assured that 1) the staff were very aware of and able to serve special needs and 2) a simple screening would be free.

No one in the office wore any sort of nametag. A young man in a lab coat came to the waiting room and called my grandson’s name, but never identified himself. My grandson did not want to leave the toys and reacted with a fit/tantrum/meltdown. The man in the labcoat shot me a panicked look and asked “what’s wrong with him? Is he ok?”

The man ended up being the one to do the exam. I had to explain “developmental delay” to him, then he asked me how to put that into his computer checklist.

My grandsons visit went from a simple screening to something more complex including fluoride treatment. No one bothered to explain the cost of what they were doing. Three different people worked with him, none of them ever offering me a name or title. None of those working with him seemed to have a clue how to deal with an SPD child.

If I hadn’t needed that piece of paper for school, I would have walked out.

Today I received a bill for $145. I have since found another dentist whose office handles special needs children much more professionally.
