Advanced Dental Center - St Matthews/Indian Hills

Dr. Porter is wonderful dentist. He use his knowledge to explain and very helpful. The dentist assistant did great job with cleaning and cavities filling. I did had issues with cavities filling but they fixed it right away. This is the place I would come back and recommend to my family and friends.

Dr. Porter is very attentive and goes the extra mile to cater your smile. His recommendations are spot on. Preventative care is better than having to be treated for a diagnosis. I had to learn the hard way. Overall I’m happy with the care and services I received.

If I could, I would leave 5 million stars. I cannot express enough how grateful I am that I have found this facility. For nearly my entire life (before experiencing the work of Dr. Porter and his assistants), I lived with debilitating anxiety surrounding dental work. This office (originally I was going to see Dr. Porter at the Preston Hwy location, which is equally as amazing and clean) has changed my perspective entirely and created not only a comfort, but an eagerness for me to go to the dentist.

I am not wealthy by any means, so my financial situation in terms of dental work could have caused a lot of stress (rescheduling, insurance, different locations, etc) but I have only ever been met with compassion and understanding from those on shift, which has always made me want to continue making appointments.
This year, I have had preventative work done on 3 very sensitive teeth, as well as two extractions, all done by Dr. Porter and the endodontic office he referred me to. Two years ago if someone had told me that was my reality, I'd have laughed, as even a routine cleaning seemed completely terrifying and off the radar for me.
I want to say thank you to every single one of the staff members for being kind, compassionate, understanding, and professional yet genuine people. There are several memorable experiences with specific members of the staff I would like to recognize in this review (comforted me during a panic attack, held my hand during "scary" parts of a procedure, gave me warm blankets, and so many more extremely accommodating and compassionate things) but I'll cut it short by saying yet again that I cannot suggest this facility enough.

Without a doubt, Dr. Porter and the staff at Advanced Dental Center have changed my life with their help. To all the front desk workers, thank you for making me feel comfortable and heard. To Dr. Porter, Natalie, and Rachel (the three names I can remember): You guys really go the extra mile for your patients; as one of those patients, I will forever appreciate it.

I arrived and was immediately impressed with the level of care and all out humanity of the staff. Very professional and kind. The dentist assistant that took care of before the dentist came in was very calm, informative, and gentle while still performing the actions that helped make this the best visit I have ever had at a dentist office. Then there is the actual Dentist, one of the nicest people I have met. Very informative and took his time with me to explain different things. 10 out of 10 in my opinion!

I had a good experience at the Advanced Dental Center. Dr Porter took his time and made sure I understood what was needed to fix my broken molar, both medically and financially. He and his competent staff seem to have a good relationship which made for a calm environment. I appreciate the tv wasn’t on and blaring in the waiting room (although I had a very short wait time.) The underwater video to focus on is a nice touch. I felt this office was very patient-focused to make the appointment as comfortable as possible.

I was very impressed on how fast they could take me. I broke my tooth and it was temporary fixed the same day. Needless to say I don’t know what I would have done if they couldn’t take me. Dr. Porter is always so nice and makes you feel very comfortable! Definitely one of the best dentist ever!

Very clean and friendly, the parking was not the easiest but my overall experience was amazing. The hygienist did an amazing job on my cleaning and the Dentist was very knowledgeable and helpful and provided several option to help me achieve my goals with my smile!

Absolutely AWESOME patient care!!! I have been going to Dr. Porter and his assistant Rachel since November of 2022. 2 extractions, and upper an lower partials. I've had a more than a few follow-ups due to getting used to my new partials and getting the perfect fit. They have gotten me in immediately and took my discomfort seriously. I thank you and your staff for your compassion and friendliness. I would refer you to anyone!

I had a 10:30 appointment and was promptly seen at that time. The staff was highly professional and courteous, and the facility was pleasant. Overall, it was a satisfactory experience.

I have high dental anxiety. A previous dentist I saw for years, until I moved out of state; was super rough on my mouth, always seemed to be in a hurry. I did an extensive search when looking for a dentist here in Louisville. I’m so relieve I found Dr. Porter. He reassured me throughout my consult, talked me through getting two crowns done and really took his time with me. I couldn’t have asked for a better dentist.

I hate going to the dentist. But this was an amazing experience. From the lady Katie at the front desk being as sweet and helpful as possible. To Yuri the dental assistant and Dr Porter, making sure I understood everything and making the whole procedure painless!!! That has never been my experience. Till now. I would recommend that you visit this place if you need help and have dental anxiety. My new dentist for life
