SMI Automotive Service

I want to share a tremendous experience that I had recently at SMI. I've known about them for years, but finally had the need for them to service my 2015 Toyota Tundra. I needed brakes, and a rear tail light assembly replaced, and I thought that I needed a new starter. The first two issues were repaired in a timely fashion, and at a very reasonable price. Regarding the starter, I said thought I needed a new one. Come to find out, I didn't. They could've just gone on and replaced it, charged me, and I would've been none the wiser. They did the right thing, told me it wasn't an issue, and we moved on. Such a breath of fresh air to me. I know nothing about cars, so I'm at the mercy of the repair technicians, and have to take them at their word.

I will be a loyal customer of SMI moving forward, and will be referring others there as well.

What a great feeling it was to walk into the SMI’s office and see a professional environment that equaled a doctor’s office. Then as i came to pick up my car, i immediately saw the exterior of my car had been washed and the interior vacuumed out as well. There was also a note card on the steering wheel wishing me a happy day and thanking me for letting SMI work on the car. Image is everything and the image I now have of SMI is that of a professional business that values the experience and satisfaction of the customer. Bill was there to insure that i had all the information I needed to make informed choices on the level of work that my car needed. Thank you Bill. All in all I’d say I was very pleased and will go back with concern to SMI.

I was very happy with the repairs made to my car by SMI Automotive. From scheduling a diagnostic appointment to explaining what needed to be done to returning a sparkling clean car a day earlier than estimated, SMI demonstrated professionalism and courtesy. My car is running quietly with no problems. I am a happy customer. I would definitely recommend.

Took my car to SMI auto after ignition system could not be fixed elsewhere. Dennis did evaluation and kept in close contact. Evaluation was done on ignition system, additionally serpentine belt was cracking and fog light was out, and both needed to be replaced. This was done. There was problem with the ignition system but he called Honda and was on an extended warranty . Dennis verified that it would be covered at dealership. It was taken there and ignition fixed at no charge. My experience with SMI auto was outstanding. Evaluation and service thorough , friendly, professional, and honest. Prices very reasonable for service received.

Great customer service. Quick repair and reasonable price. I would have done the repair myself, but my hands are too big to do what needed to be done. I felt so comfortable leaving my car there ( and I don't let ANYONE work on my car) that I will definitely use them again. Great job guys!

First time in, this shop makes you feel like you’re part of the process. Calls every step of the way, and helpful in explaining what they are doing. I’m fairly knowledgeable about cars and basically knew I was getting the run around at the dealership. Not here.. found my new shop!

For the last several months I have been taking my Jeep Liberty to SMI for repairs and service. The quality of the work done and the professional attitude of the service and office staff is second to none. A couple of times my wife came by after work to pick up the Jeep and was treated with care and respect. I highly recommend the crew at SMI and will be coming back to see them on a regular basis to get all my mechanical and maintenance work performed

I have an import (2018 Jaguar XE. I don’t drive it very often so, it has relatively low mileage, considering the year it was built. I purchased the program car from a local dealer. It wasn’t exactly the vehicle I needed but it was pretty sweet at the moment.

I purchased the vehicle in 2019 and I haven’t experienced any major issues. I did have a manufacturer limited warranty and purchased service agreement as well. The vehicle is paid off and the warranty has expired.

I wasn’t entirely displeased with the dealer service, but something always felt like, I wasn’t being informed of timely changes to my warranty, Covid didn’t help.
I was quoted by the dealership last October ‘23, $1200 worth of work to be done on my vehicle January 2024. I have the service explanation, itemizing each repair and service. Change the oil, rotate the tires, and a fuel injection service, miscellaneous service charge $250. I understand the dealership is usually higher but kinda get what you pay for, sometimes.

I looked around asked some questions and settled on SMI. The brief snow delayed my experience by a week. SMI got my vehicle, changed the oil and rotated the tires very reasonably ($). The service representative ran a diagnostic test to determine the check engine light.

I’m very satisfied with the professionalism, and service from all. I’ll be a customer as long I have the Jaguar. Thanks again.

They were able to get me in immediately and took care of all the repairs on my ‘07 Camry that day. Fixing cars can be expensive but I believe their prices are in line with competitors. The after hours Dropbox was also helpful. Everyone I interacted with was polite and knowledgeable. They even identified a part original the car that would likely fail soon and only charged me for the part (no labor) since they already had the car apart. This is the second time I’ve taken my car to SMI and I would absolutely bring it back again.

The heat stopped working in my car and I had to take it in to get it fixed. I ended up taking the car out of the shop bc they quoted $1,600 and I had only planned to spend a couple hundred. Well come to find out they are covered under my warranty and the part was covered as well. I took it back into the shop on a Tuesday and was told the car was ready to go on Friday. Ended up paying about $280 after the warranty covered majority of it. Appreciated the honesty they gave me and will be a returning customer if something happens in the future and I need another job done.

SMI is a reliable and trustworthy shop. They were able to get my Lexus axel repaired within a day at a fraction of the cost it would have been at a dealership.

As always, SMI provided exceptional workmanship and spectacular customer service. Dennis is GREAT!!

I will always continue to use them for my maintenance needs.

Got me in the very next day for the issue I was experiencing with my Ram truck. Dennis updated me with 4 phone calls over two days which I really appreciated. Hopefully, I won't have to be back soon but if I do I know who I am calling.

These folks are a solid, reliable local business. Convenient location, on-time appointments, good service work and reasonable prices. The waiting area is clean, comfortable and set up so you can work remotely if needed.

I take my Audi in for regular oil changes and checkups and these guys are always very efficient.

Great service. Better than the dealer experience. Actually solved the problem. They are thorough so ask what is really needed to be fixed today and what can be deferred. Nice to have confidence in the repairs as you drive away.
