Good service.
I hated the automated thing at first but once I learned it I could see the great benefits, especially during Covid. My wife and I have banked here for many years.

Several times I have gone to the atm and have been given hundred dollar bills. I guess you don't realize how difficult it is to break them. When I'm getting money out, I'm trying to give money to my kids for meals and can't separate a hundred dollar bill. Secondly I've gone to stores and they will not break them. Walgreens even tried to tell me they weren't real when I had just come from the bank.I had to go back to the bank for them to break it. No more hundred dollar bills please.

My mother brought me here, because they were running a promotion that if you open a checking account, then you and the person that referred you, both get 100.00.
So we go back into an office where a blonde was sitting at her desk... Only we could not see her because she has two computer monitors right in front of her desk... So me and my mom is sitting there and the woman is asking me my name, my address, my social (she ran a credit report) and we can't even see the woman... After all that is done, she says we won't get the 100.00 because I had opened an account with them on 1/1/2010....and closed it on 11/2009...which doesn't make any sense.... Especially what bank is open on New Years Day and I closed the account before I opened it???
Anyways, never got a call or to reserch this and not the 100.00 either.... Just left with an inquiry on my credit report and an hour of wasted time..
My son who banks at Republic, asked why we didn't go to the one on Hurstbourne lane... He really likes his branch... Fern Creek.... Not so welcoming

As of 8/25, the issues I had were resolved, thanks to Lindsay Ratterman. 😊

This institution (as a whole, not necessarily this branch) is the most complicated banking institution I've dealt with. When getting a loan, the loan officer told us we qualified for more than we actually did so we had to get a cosigner two weeks into the process. They were uncommunicative to point where the cosigner was having to send documents the morning of the signing. The loan officer never showed up to the signing and the documents were an hour and a half late to the signing they scheduled. The manager was trying to say it was our fault for not having these documents, even though we were never told we needed them until that day.

Even after all that chaos, trying to pay the bill is a hassle. The online banking is unhelpful. The live chat is unhelpful because you have to have an online banking account to be able to use it. The phone system is complicated and doesn't work correctly. The automation says you can press pound (or star, I don't remember which, but neither work) to go to a previous menu and it does not take you there. There is also no option to pay by phone unless you talk to a real person. The only way to get to a real person is to press for customer service. You can't access your mortgage information by phone unless you have an "Easy Access Code" which we were never given, nor setup.

The only redeeming thing is the people who work on the phone lines. They are very helpful and understanding. We will be refinancing ASAP and do not recommend this institution for mortgages.
